"So, I got three meditation technique out of all of them which will provide you the most benefits." Olaf spoke looking at me.
The first one is underwater breathing technique; this method require you to stay and absorb mana underwater. I would recommend this one because it is the safest out of the three methods and we are on an island, we are literally surrounded by water.
The second one is blood flow method; this method is a combination of water and darkness this requires you to forcefully control the mana in the blood and flow it to your core. This method is impractical and chances of organ and core damage is high.
The third and the most dangerous one is ghost refinement method; as the name suggest it requires the user to catch ghosts and refine them into mana, it can increase your mentality tremendously but is extremely difficult for an apprentice. Ghosts do not have a physical body so physical attacks don't work on them; you need to learn a mental attack spell which is extremely rare. Ghosts are unpredictable and they use hexes and mental attack which may be dangerous even for a rank 1 wizard not to mention an apprentice.
"The moonlight technique can only be done at night even though the dance is useful and increases my mentality faster, the fact that it can only be used at night is holding me back. From Olaf's description the underwater breathing method is the safest as there are many tools that help wizards' breath underwater for a long time. The blood flow method is dangerous and only yields the same result as underwater breathing so I won't choose that. The ghost refinement method really caught my eye, but how can I catch a ghost, I need some rituals and should be prepared against mental attacks. I copied almost all the spells in the library there are no mental spells there."
"Olaf will there be any issue with my magic if I use two meditation techniques" I asked Olaf.
"Yes, using two meditation techniques is harmful for the mana core that is why wizards choose one meditation and switches them only when they can no longer satisfy them. So, what is your choice".
"I will keep on using the moonlight dance method for now, I will ask sir Armin information about mental spells. If he too can't help me, I will start using the underwater technique" I answered to Olaf.
"Okey it's your choice" it seems Olaf was not too happy with my decision.
The next day I asked prof Armin about the mental spells.
"You want to use ghosts for cultivating your mentality?" Armin was taken back by what his student said.
"I would ask you to reconsider, ghosts are dangerous being, they are formed when magical being die and a part of their souls get corrupted by natural mana and take forms such as a ghost, banshee, spectres, wraiths etc. These being are very dangerous without proper equipment and spells you could die a horrible death" Armin explained to me about ghosts.
"I know professor that's why I am asking about the mental spells, they don't have any in the library".
"Well mental spells are in the wizard library not in the apprentice, only wizards can enter the library, if an apprentice wants to enter the library, he or she should be a student of an elder or should receive permission from one" Armin spoke looking at me.
"How can I receive permission from one?" I asked.
"You need to do something noteworthy for the school or you can TRADE with one of the elders for the permission and I doubt you have anything of importance to a rank 3 wizard" Armin spoke emphasizing on the word trade.
So, I could bribe one, but I don't have anything of importance, then the mutant spell scroll I bought from the black market came into my mind.
"Hey Olaf what is that mutant spell" I asked Olaf mentally.
"The mutant spell belongs to chaos element it increases the user's strength and damage of spells used. Since it belongs to a different element you cannot use it" Olaf said sarcastically.
"I can't use it but I can sell it, I already made a copy of that spell, I could make a copy of it and trade with one of the elders and after few years I can sell another copy, I bet lots of wizards are interested in a mutant spell" I smirked.
"Professor I do have something noteworthy to donate, so can you help me on this?" I asked Prof Armin who was giving a stare.
"If you do have something valuable, you can exchange them in the party organised next week I am invited and is allowed to bring one of my students, why don't you come with me?" Armin gave up trying to change my mind.
"There will be other wizards and students of elders, there is also a rumour that the headmaster will show up as well, so wear something formal, be on your best behaviour and please don't embarrass me" Armin gave a speech on how to appear on the party.
"The headmaster and the seven elders, I heard that the elders were all rank 3, I wonder what rank is the headmaster?" I thought.
After the class I went back to my room and decided to meditate, it was not night yet but the moon was still in the sky, I started dancing the weird dance although it was lesser than before, I could sense mana flowing through my body.
For the whole week I decided to go with Harry and Lindy ( Harry's girlfriend) on a mission, since the previous one I learned that I need more experience in combat. The mission was simple it was to hunt few monsters and bring back their body. It can be any monsters and the worth will be according to the type of monster we hunt. Harry acted as the tank I would be long range dealer and Lindy helps with support.
It was hard at first but it gradually became easy to control my spells and save mana.
At night
I wiped my face with a towel, I was sweating from all the dancing, I checked my bracelet

Finally, after one week I broke through to rank 2 apprentice. Tomorrow is the day of the party; I hope it goes well.
I wonder how a wizard organize a party.
