Flashes of lights are all over my face I walk beside Helio who has his hand around my waist, leading me as we walk into the hall, not because of his gentlemanly nature but for his reasons.
"Try to avoid making skin contact with the opposite gender when we reach," he tells me an impossible pronouncement while we drove here.
If he had ended his warning with words, then perhaps I may have not thought too much of his words.
What made me realise he wasn't joking, was when he had the driver stop by a boutique and buys a designed shawl for me.
I don't even understand why he keeps buying such clothing when he feels this way towards me wearing the clothes he chose.
As we make our way inside, I'm tasked with moving side by side to avoid bumping into people, most especially, men.
We proceed into the church, and find the empty seat at the front, reserved for both of us, accompanied by stares from his family.
