Ethan is currently in Village 369, which is a beginner village.
It was named in the same manner as the other village because it is the only starting point for every player in UTOPIA.
After reaching level 5, the player would be kicked out of the village and transferred to the cities of their choice.
It was the main city of Palak in his case.
Ethan chooses this location because it was the first city he lived in his previous life, and he is already familiar with it.
"Status," he muttered softly as he sat on one of the street benches. Then a translucent screen was projected in front of his eyes.

Displayed on the screen was his beginner stats. Since he was part of the demon race, he has a starting attribute of 3 MGC and 3 DEX.
Physical Attack (PA) can affect the physical damage a player can inflict on the enemy. On the other hand, the Magical Attack (MA) for magical damage.
Strength (STR) can affect the Physical Attack of the player. It could also indicate how much power does a player has to lift objects and cause a knockback effect or resist it.
Magic (MGC) on the other hand can affect the Magical Attack. It could also affect the user's mana regeneration.
Intelligence (INT) can help the processing speed of the brain thus a player can understand the spell resulting in the reduction of cooldowns. This attribute could also add mana by every point.
Vitality (VIT) was just a simple attribute. It can influence the healing ability and maximum health at every point.
While Constitution (CON) improves user durability/defense and resistance to magical ailments.
Dexterity (DEX) can improve the control of the body thus affecting the accuracy of doing tasks. It can also affect the spellcasting ability, reducing the casting time.
Agility (AGI) at the same time was the quality of being agile, the power of moving the limbs quickly affecting the movement and attack speed.
Perception (PRC) or others called 'awareness' mainly affects the senses of the player. It could also improve the resistance to mental ailments.
Lastly, Endurance (END) was, of course, an attribute that helps to increase stamina and reduce its consumption.
Every single stats attribute on the screen was very important no matter what the race and professions are.
However, concentrating on the desired stats with respect to the user profession was always the best action.
Though Ethan has no experience of being a mage, he couldn't be a number one guild leader if he didn't study the different professions of the game.
He has a vast knowledge of every single profession so he was not afraid of trying a different class this time.
"As a mage, the MGC, INT, and DEX were the best attributes to upgrade," said Ethan.
"But I am a Witch, not a pure mage. So I must as well raise the other attributes in a hybrid fashion."
Witch class was a unique profession because of its fighting style.
The profession doesn't solely focus on firing grandiose spells. The profession can integrate magic items when in combat, increasing its versatility.
"In short, it was a fun choice for me. There are so many possibilities in this profession instead of just whacking the enemy!" Ethan was delighted.
He then taps the lowest section of the screen. Displayed on it were the bonuses of choosing the Demon race.
Race Bonus
«Innate Ability: Arcane Specialist— has the highest affinity to arcane magic. Increased the damage of arcane spells by 10%. Reduced the cooldown of the arcane spell by 5%»
«Talent: Mana Blood—as a race born from the residual mana, the blood of the demon race can be used as a mana to perform spells»
"Pretty cool but Pixie was more OP than this."
Ethan expressed as he remembers one of his guild executives who was playing the said race.
Though Pixie was more suited to be combat support—clearly not his type.
After that, he opens his inventory and scans through the five spell books that he got from the faceless entity.
Currently, he has no spells. Yeah, zero, can't even produce a single fireball.
According to the book he read in his previous life, Seekers can enter the world of Utopia after being cleansed—stripped from power, skills, and abilities.
As compensation, every Seeker would receive five spell books at the start according to their profession.
These spell books, obviously contain spells that a player had a chance to learn.
However, it was different from ordinary spell books since a player must manually learn it instead of just ripping the pages.
[Missile] (Basic Spell)
[Bind] (Basic Spell)
[Erecto] (Intermediate Spell)
[Displacement] (Intermediate Spell)
[Desire of Fire] (Advance Spell)
The five spell books were rated differently. They also contain different content like their origins and guide execution.
The player must perform what the guide tells to learn the spells. However, the spellbooks have only a one-day duration.
After that, it will vanish in his inventory whether he learn it or not.
"Ha, never thought that the «Desire of Fire» would be included."
Ethan let out a light chuckle before standing and leaving his spot.
After walking for several minutes, he arrived at one of the big establishments in the village.
This place was a training hall.
Why training hall? Since the environment here has a higher mana density than the outside place.
If a place has a high mana density, it could help to boost the stats attribute of the player. Swordsmen for example can enhance their STR or END when continuously practicing their swords.
However, Ethan doesn't go to this place just to swing his staff. That would be... awkwardly amazing.
'You can gain attributes by just training here. But it's only up to a maximum of twenty points and it usually takes several days. Actually, it was a good wage but for me, it's a waste of time.'
Ethan thought while sweeping his glance to the people inside the hall.
Except for the beta tester, regular players don't know the maximum limit they can gain in this place so they were frantically practicing.
Ethan, on the other hand, doesn't desire to gain these attributes, instead, he was here to gain the secret benefit of the training hall.
A high mana density place could calm the person's state of mind. In short, it was a suitable place for reading and meditating.
Hence, understanding the spell books was very easy if the person's mind was in a relaxed state.
It was a very important feature considering his current INT attribute was still 1 point!
"I would like to use the backyard, Instructor."
Ethan addresses the old man overseeing the training hall.
"Go on, kid. Just a little coin for this old man would be greatly appreciated," the Instructor responded.
Ethan gives 10 coppers for the usage pay leaving him with 40 coppers in his inventory.
Arriving in the backyard, he could see several players, mostly melee professionals practicing with their respective weapons.
Ethan walks farther and goes to the quiet spot.
Choosing one of the trees ahead as a target, he took a deep breath before starting his session.
