".... Where am I?"
I found myself lying on my back for some reason. Getting up, I first check on my body to see if there was any abnormalities.
Moving my limbs, I seem to be just fine.
"Hmm?"
I shift my attention to the surroundings. Walls decorated with golden intricate patterns with pure white as its base.
Looking up, the ceiling was also decorated with golden intricate patterns, with a golden chandelier at the center of the room.
Looking down, the floors are glimmering.
"Whoever made this room needs to have a raise."
I muttered to myself.
A door was right in front of me.
A golden door.
Since there is a door, there will be a way out of this room.
As I was about to walk towards the door, the door opened.
"...!"
"Greetings, Your Majesty."
Dressed in white clothing with golden accessories, the being who entered from the doorway bowed.
Then six figures entered the room.
""We greet His Majesty, the Ruler.""
The six figures bowed in unison.
Unlike the man who entered first, these six beings bowing in front of me were wearing silver armor.
However, what stood out most out of them are wings behind their backs.
"Angels....?"
I couldn't help but speak my mind out.
"Yes, Your Majesty. We are angels who exist to serve you and your excellence."
"Wait, wait, wait.... Me?"
Silence.
The angels looked at each other, confused. Of course, all of them were still bowing and none of them were raising their heads.
Then, the angel in front of me spoke.
"My name is Alistar, Your Majesty. To answer your question, yes. You are the ruler and supreme being. Hence, it is why we call you His Majesty."
"....."
I couldn't find words to respond to them. All of them were still bowing their heads, not one dared to raise their heads.
I don't even know where I am and how I got here.
The first communicable species I encountered weren't from the same species as I, but angels.
Taking a deep breath, I calmed down. There is nothing good if I panic now.
Looking at them, they seem to be respectful to me since to them, I am the supreme ruler. For now, I should at least let them raise their heads. After that, figure things out.
"Raise your heads..... all of you."
With my command, the angels raised their heads.
Good. Next is knowing where I am, I guess.
"You said your name is Alistar, correct?"
"Yes, Your Majesty."
"Do you know where we are?"
"The land we are currently standing is part of the Continent of the Heavens, Your Majesty. As for where we are right now, this is known as the Palace of Heaven. His Majesty is the supreme being and the ruler of this continent."
So what he means is that this is not Earth.
"Sigh...."
"Are you okay, Your Majesty."
Alister looked at me with a worried expression.
I looked at the angels behind them and all of them were also worried. Although they were covering their heads with a helmet with a golden mane, I could feel their emotions.
Could it be that I can sense their emotions? I sighed once again before regaining my composure.
"For now, I want to go outside. I want to see what the outside looks like since it seems like I've been holed up here for some time."
"As you wish, Your Majesty."
Alistar signalled the guards and one of them hurriedly ran outside.
~~~~~
Me, Alistar and several Octagenesis Shields are walking through a large hallway leading outside.
Apparently, the several guards with us are part of the forces that are personally protecting me, the Octagenesis Shield.
Octa because they have eight wings at their back. Genesis because they were the first angels that were created. And Shield as they are the protectors of the ruler himself.
Hence, Octagenesis Shield, or the Heavenly Guards for simplicity's sake.
All of them are wearing silver armor, just like the soldiers from earlier. But there are golden patterns from the armor of the heavenly guards, and have a symbol of an angel at the center of their chest plate.
I talked with Alistar about the various circumstances of this place before finally getting outside.
"Your Majesty, let us go there. We can have a better view of the castle if we take Pegasus with us."
"Okay, do as you wish."
We headed towards an open space.
Looking back, the castle looks so magnificent and so large that I could fall down if I tried to look up.
I look back at Alistar who seemed to be holding a small contraption.
"What is that, Alistar?"
"This? This is a device that calls forth Pegasus, Your Majesty. Here, you should always keep it with you at all times."
I took the small device from Alistar.
Looking closely, it looks similar to a pocket watch.
"Pour some divinity in it, Your Majesty, and Pegasus will be summoned."
"How do I do that?"
I never really did something like pouring chi or chakra in something since there was never any magic back on Earth.
"You close your eyes and imagine the power within you as a flame, Your Majesty."
I closed my eyes just as Alistar instructed.
I imagined the power within me as a flame. Then, as I concentrate more, I could feel warmth all over my body.
This might be divinity that Alistar was talking about.
"Good, Your Majesty. As expected of you."
Alistar smiled.
"Now that you feel your power, all you need to do is redirect that power to your hand where you are holding the device, Your Majesty. After that, inject your divinity to the pendant and it should summon Pegasus."
I redirected my power to my hand. The warmth I felt all over my body has converged into the hand which has been holding on to the device.
Injecting divinity to the device, it shone brightly and after a few seconds, the light slowly dissipates.
"Oh!"
"Well done, Your Majesty. Since you've poured enough divinity to the summoning pendant, Pegasus will now be summoned."
A magic circle appeared underneath me. Golden light illuminates the ground where I'm currently standing on.
There, a figure of a horse with wings and a horn appeared in front of me. Bluish white body, the horse radiates a majestic aura.
Alistar drew closer to the horse and checks up on its body.
"Hello there, Pegasus.... Looks like there are no abnormalities. The summoning is successful."
"That's... woah!"
My body suddenly felt very sluggish and hard to move.
Since my legs feel extremely weak, I lost balance and was about to fall.
"Your Majesty!"
One of the heavenly guards quickly caught me. Several other guards with us hurriedly converged to me.
"Now, now, everyone. Please do calm down."
"Calm?! Does His Majesty look okay to you? We need to get him to a medical facility!"
Restless, the heavenly guard ordered one of the people with us and hurriedly left.
".... Urk..."
"Your Majesty! Please hang on! We are going to get you to a medical facility soon!
The guard was about to lift me up but Alistar stopped him.
"Lucius, calm down. What His Majesty is experiencing right now is due to the effects of using divinity. Since it is His Majesty's first time using divinity, his body naturally suffered effects of the power within His Majesty, causing extreme fatigue and dizziness."
"What? How could that happen?"
"It is most likely because His Majesty's body is that of a human. Divinity is not something mortals can wield, after all. Naturally, His Majesty's body will not be able to handle that kind of power."
I looked at Alistar with a pained expression on my face. A group of angels that what I believe to be are medical staff have also arrived at our location and started tending to me.
Alistar looked back at me and smiled.
"You need not to worry, Your Majesty. All you need is some rest. Though, we should do something about that mortal body of yours but we will talk about that later, Your Majesty. For now, rest."
Alistar signalled the medic team and took me to my bedroom.
Surprisingly, my bedroom is gigantic and the bed can fit up to ten people.
Since I am pretty tired, I fell asleep the moment I got on to the comfy bed. It was really comfy.
Alistar said some things but I was too sleepy to hear and process what he was saying.
~~~~
Night has come but the castle still emitted radiant light.
At the hallway illuminated by a bright light, two people were walking through.
It was Alistar and the angel with a golden mane on its helmet.
"Alistar, has His Majesty finally awoken? I heard that he exhausted himself from summoning Pegasus."
"His Majesty is sleeping soundly, Lucifer. Judging by the state of his body, he won't wake up until tomorrow, I suppose."
"I see..."
"What about that other matter?"
Lucifer handed out a paper to Alistar.
When he received and read the contents of the paper, Alistar's expression became a bit sullen.
"The other parts of the continent have been destroyed by them, huh..."
"With how scattered our forces are, we will not be able to defeat them. The Archangels of Luminosity have been doing their best to repel them but as expected, we cannot hold them for so long."
"But if we withdraw our forces, we will lose more land to the point that we will not be able to rebuild the continent."
Alistar sighed.
After a few moments, they stopped their walk and stood in front of a door. The door itself has a height about five meters decorated with golden and silver patterns.
"For now, let us discuss this matter with the council. His Majesty has yet to settle here."
"Is it true that His Majesty is a mortal?"
"For now.... His Majesty will soon become someone who will be the pillar of this world and our existence. Such future will force him to become an existence higher than us."
"I see... Let us hope that he will become one. Otherwise...."
"I know... That's why we must hold on until we can rebuild our forces. Once we are able to fight back, the denizens of the Chaos Dimension will no longer pose a threat to us unless 'they' appear."
Alistar signalled the guards.
The guards then open the door and both of them went inside.
The room they went in was by no means a small one. On the floor, a golden carpet with silver decorations at its edge was about twenty meters width and golden pillars with a size of five meters in diameter are situated on each side with a distance of over a hundred meters from the carpet. In between the pillars a statue of an angel with ten pair of wings were holding a staff with a bright golden light at the top of it. The statues were all angels wearing silver armor and are over ten meters tall while the pillars were about fifty meters tall. The ceiling were also decorated with golden and silver statues of angels.
Alistar and Lucifer were walking towards the end of the room. Their steps echoed around the quiet room.
After walking for two hundred meters, they both stop.
From the end of room, four beings were seated, two on each side. There were two levels just above the ground floor in the room.
On the first level, four beings were seated. On the highest level, a golden throne emitted in majestic appearance.
What they entered was a throne room, where a king would receive their visitors.
Both Alistar and Lucifer took a knee and lowered their heads at the beings in front of them.
"At ease, Alistar and Lucifer. I heard His Majesty has finally arrived but have to rest due to the exhaustion caused by using divinity through a mortal vessel."
"Yes, O Greatest Fragment of Divine Luminosity."
The being with the brightest wing spoke. His voice was carried with authority and reverberated throughout the throne room.
"Let us speak of that later, Brilliant Luminosity. We should discuss the matter about the denizens of the chaos that have been posing us a problem."
"I agree with Love, the reason why we are here is to discuss the matter about the threat. We shall deal the matter with His Majesty after we hear about the report."
"Fine. Alistar, Lucifer, proceed with the report about Chaos."
Alistar took out the paper that Lucifer gave to him and started discussing the matter about Chaos.
