Chapter 1 - 1

Reincarnation.

Oh so great, people would love to have a second chance.

Probably me too at one point

I had always dreamed that maybe someday, I would get reincarnated in a fantasy world where I am the protagonist, and then I'll meet my heroine, and then we fall in love with each other, get married, and NOT!

*sigh* As they say, life doesn't go in your way every time.

Thinking back, I was foolish back then.

I didn't exactly know what happened because my memory was hazy.

What I do remember was me going home from a busy day in the office.

Then I jumped into my bed not minding anything.

Because I really needed that damn sleep.

And then the next thing that happened was... weird

I was in this weird space where I can only see darkness as far as I can see.

The rest is cloudy.

But what I do remember was that I agreed to something...

And then when that happened.

I was indeed reincarnated.

To tell you the truth, I was happy at that time.

Maybe I was given another chance to have a happy life.

My previous one was nothing grandiose either.

I was mostly a loner who prefer working alone.

And as a result, I never had friends or a lover.

My relationship with my family was so-so.

That's why when I came to this world, I thought that maybe I could change a part of me so that I'll become popular!

Delusions aside, Of course, it was not a pleasant experience.

I was born into something out of a medieval era.

And I was born a peasant.

Now, It wasn't that bad compared to the one on earth.

Or at least in my opinion.

My parents were very loving people.

But of course, we are poor.

My father works as a farmer while my mother is a dairy producer.

Honestly, It wasn't that bad.

I mean, we eat 3 times a day and we can even afford some luxury.

But it's too boring here.

When I was a child, I thought of the great things I could do here in a fantasy world!...

Only to find out some disappointing things afterward.

Number one, we live in the countryside. And there's nothing here!

Only animals, farms, and woods!

Number two, We don't have neighbors!

This one is weird. When I asked my parents why we live so far away from other people, They said that it was because this land was given to us by a local lord. After all, my great-great-grandfather was a knight who did many heroic deeds that the people revere him as a hero.

But of course, that gradually died out and he died as a farmer in his retirement. My great grandfather inherited the farm and then my grandfather and then it was given to my father.

This whole farm is huge. If I had to compare it on earth, It would be around 2000 acres, which was similar to those super huge farms.

But the only problem was we lack manpower.

We were already in debt by the time my father inherited the farm. And even if money was not a problem, I doubt that many people would actually try to work here because the nearest village is 10km away!

And so my father and mother had to work hard to pay off our debt.

And you are wondering, what the hell am I doing?

Nothing, actually.

It's because I am still a child, around 5 years old.

I can't even lift a hoe nor pull the udder of a cow.

In other words, I can't do anything

All I can do is watch them.

My mother would always teach me how to speak

But most of the time, she's busy working.

It's not bad but it's frustrating.

I can't do anything to help them...

It's not as if I can train like those protagonists in the novels. Why do you ask?

Number three, Talents mean everything in this world.

When I asked my mother one time if magic exists in this world, She did confirm that fact. Of course, I was delighted but have that hope crushed immediately.

She added that while they do exists, One needs to have mana. But wasn't that common sense?

And then she said that only a few people are naturally born with mana.

Which meant that you need to be born with mana to be able to cast magic.

But I didn't give up and then added if something more like sword auras exists!

She did say that it exists but then again, Talent. One needs to have a bloodline that can use sword auras. And she then added that only noble bloodlines have them.

I refuted that my great-great-grandfather was a hero so that means that he could also use sword aura!

But my mother laughed and told me that while he was revered as such, He was practically just using swordsmanship.

I am an ignorant child and so I told my parents that I would train to become a knight!

But... It turned to a serious discussion immediately.

My parents told me that to become a knight, One needs to have a good background and supporter.

And that's not all, You would have to pass an exam and then they will evaluate my skills.

And the biggest hurdle was the location. It was located in the capital of our country, Keraunos.

And according to our map, It was very far. I can't even tell how far it is.

Then you will need to have some verifications, certificates, etc.

The point here is that the whole process was very tedious.

My parents told me that inheriting the farm was a better option.

But was that really all?

Would I be stuck here in this countryside and die old without even doing anything?

I want a life goddammit!

I won't give up! Never!

Even If I had to raise this farm from scratch!
