William approached the Affinity Orb. "William. I am starting now, Elder." he placed his hand on the Orb once Elder Wen gave his approval.
Like the others before him, William began injecting Mana into the Affinity Orb. With his high Mana control, William was able to reduce the amount of Mana going into the Affinity Orb to a bare minimum. He put all his focus on trying to only call Fire Element Mana.
At first, the Affinity Orb only glowed a slight pale red. There was nothing special or flashy about it at all. Some disappointment showed in Elder Wen's eyes. Was I wrong about the kid? He isn't actually suppressing his Mana and it's actually just this much?
William noticed Elder Wen's frown out of the corner of his eye.
I will fail at this rate! he panicked and sent a larger burst of Mana into the Affinity Orb, causing the glow to spike in intensity.
