William used his additional 50 Mana to recharge the protection Array, then continued to look at the Talent Shop.

This time, there was no upgrade to the Manamatus title, which now required five Elements. The cost of purchasing another magic talent rose to 30 Potential Points, so William decided to keep using the cheat.
--Talent Purchased: Ice Affinity
-Ice Element Acquired: +1 Potential Point
--Upgraded Title: +50 Potential Points
-Manamatus (Epic --> Legendary): You are a legendary individual with a talent for five kinds of Magic that appeared before you started cultivating. All Magic you use will be 40% more powerful. Maximum Mana increased by 100. Fame is increased by 5.
-Unlocked your first Legendary Title: +100 Potential Points
"Legendary..." William felt extremely strong, despite the reality that not much had improved. Each of the Magic Affinities seemed to affect William's body in a different way, but their low ranks prevented it from causing much harm.
The Earth Element strengthened William's natural defense slightly, while the Ice Element increased his resistance to Cold. The Darkness Element didn't have any noticeable effects, but as a Rare Element William knew there had to be more than met the eye.
William hadn't seen his full profile in a long time, so he decided to check.

William noticed he had collected quite a few Titles. The Status Menu also showed his new Humanity statistic, which Will assumed would start at 100 and go down as he killed innocent people.
All his new Elements started at F Rank. William wasn't sure how he didn't realize it before, but it seemed that rarer elements had a higher cost to upgrade than the more basic ones.
At this point, William had a few decisions to make.
He could upgrade his new Elements to become stronger, purchase more talents, or hatch the egg in his inventory.
William could only purchase three more Elements with his current number of points, and the next title upgrade required ten total Elements, so he wasn't even close.
The beast was enticing, but William might not be able to take care of it after the hatch, so he decided to wait until he reached Blue Moon City for that. He made a decision.

William spent the next hour waiting for his Mana to regenerate while looking through his options for talent upgrades. He decided that using the Talent Shop more right now wouldn't benefit him much in the long run, so William decided to purchase one more magic talent then upgrade them with the remaining points.
--Talent Purchased: Wind Affinity
-Wind Element Acquired: +1 Potential Point
William used the darkness element to create a darkness ball. The process was similar to creating. fireball, except the effects were more corrosive in nature. The Darkness Element appeared to destroy other Mana particles in the area.
-Discovered Darkness Magic: +1 Potential Point
-Developed a new magic spell: +1 Potential Point
-New Spell: Darkness Orb
He moved on to the Ice Element. Instead of a ball of ice, William felt a piercing attack would be more useful. He focused his Mana to a single point in front, then lengthened it horizontally. The end product was a two centimeter long needle, which could probably pierce through a Liffox's fur.
The effects of both Elements were quite impressive for being F Rank, probably because of his Legendary Manamatus title that increased his attack power by 40 percent.
-Discovered Ice Magic: +1 Potential Point
-Developed a new magic spell: +1 Potential Point
-New Spell: Ice Needle
--Upgraded Title: +1 Potential Point
-Spell Master (Common --> Uncommon): You've developed at least 10 spells and have a good understanding of Mana. Mana Control +10% with all Elements.
William did some testing with the Earth and Wind Elements, creating a new spell for each. Earth Wall was a barrier just like what Holt used, while Tailwind was specifically a speed boost.
I have a lot of attack power, but my defense and speed are terrible. For now it will be better to focus on upgrading those.
He used his 27 Potential Points first to upgrade his Earth and Wind Elements to D Rank, then also pushed Knife Throwing and the Ice Element to D Rank. With the remaining 5 points, William used 3 to raise the Darkness Element to E Rank.
None of the upgrades were very painful, as he had already experienced the pain of the Fire Element. At most, William felt his body becoming weaker temporarily after upgrading the Darkness Element.
The hour of waiting had passed. William accounted for the Mana spent on creating new spells and found that he regenerated around 55 Mana per hour. This was over a five times increase!
With Mana Regeneration like this, William could spend much longer in the Livingwood Forest, and probably wouldn't have much trouble fighting multiple Wind Wolves by himself now. He still hadn't tested the effects of his Fire Element upgrade since Torc and Holt were nearby in the forest, but William believed Fire attacks alone could severely injure a Wind Wolf.
William spent an extra hour refilling the Mana of the protection Array. It was difficult to tell how much progress he had made in the last five hours, but William felt it wasn't small.
While wrapping up for the night, William noticed Jenny entering the room. She looked tired, "Why are you still down here? You only had to fill the Array for fours, did you lose track of time?"
"I wanted to make more progress on the Array since I don't want to stay here for a month." William replied honestly.
"Oh I see, well let me check your progress." Jenny inspected the Array. Her expression showed some surprise, "Did you drink a Mana Regeneration potion? The Array is almost 25 percent recovered already!" at this rate, the Array would be fixed in under a week.
"Uh...yes." Will felt awkward, as this excuse was a perfect way to hide his strength.
"Oh well, there's no need to be in that much of a hurry. Anyway, I have something for you."
