Lexi had sincerely learnt her lesson to be nicer to people. Who knew that Natasha would end up being such an influential woman.
Lexi sighed as she shook her head. Next time she would learn to bridle her tongue and behave in a polite manner towards people. She certainly could not let her behaviour repeat itself, or else next time she would not have been so lucky as to offend someone as kind as Natasha."
...
Natasha shook her head as she walked out the store. At first she did not want to bother herself by teaching that woman some manners, but then she thought about it and this woman might have been doing the same thing to other people and she needed someone to put her in her place.
Hence why Natasha had turned back to give her a stern talking to. Just what sort of insensitive human being was that woman??? Wasn't she raised well? Didn't her parents teach her good morals and values?
On second thought Natasha decided to stop blaming the parents. After all good parents could raise their children with good morals and values and still yet when the children grow up they forsake all those good teachings that were instilled in them.
It definitely was not the parent's fault if they raised their children well. Of course the children had the choice to think for themselves on if they wanted to be a good human being or not.
Natasha sighed, just look at her, she was raised by a single dad who did his best to make sure that she turned out alright and when the time came for her to make a stand, she chose to stick with all the good things that she had been taught.
So it was definitely a personal decision on how you wanted to be and how you treated people and wanted people to perceive you. After all it mattered on the character of the person in question.
There were some people whom it did not matter what you did or said, or taught them, they were always stubborn and rebellious.
Natasha just shook her head and decided to stop giving herself a headache over this matter. But one thing was sure to her, in her experience with meeting people who were named Lexi, they were certainly very rude and gave little or no regard to other people's feelings and opinions.
Natasha walked out the mall to where she had parked her car when she suddenly remembered that Dom had left with the dress.
Natasha got into her car as she brought her phone out of her pocket and dialed Dom's number as her call was picked in the same moment.
"Is something wrong?" he asked instantly.
"No, nothing is wrong, what do you mean by that?" asked Natasha in annoyance.
"I don't mean anything at all... I mean... when I left you seemed really pissed off with that woman's behaviour so I..." said Dom as his voice trailed off.
"You thought that I beat her up or something?" asked Natasha.
"Well not particularly but... I thought that something would happen." said Dom as Natasha scoffed.
"Oh please, I'm not that violent, or even violent at all for that matter." said Natasha.
"I know that, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way, she had treated you unfairly so you did have every right to be upset with her." said Dom.
"Well I couldn't care less, anyway, on to why I called you, are you going back to the office?" she asked as she changed the subject.
"No, I'm actually on my way home right now, it's already past twelve and there's no point of going back there because if I do I won't be leaving for lunch." said Dom.
"Alright then." said Natasha.
"Why do you ask?" he asked.
"Because you have Joy's dress, but there's no problem since you're already on your way home, we'll just meet over there. Joy should be back home from school by now." said Natasha.
"Alright, so I'll see you at home then." said Dom.
"Right." she replied as she ended the call before Dom could even say bye.
Dom shook his head, he did not need anyone to tell him that he had upset Natasha with his assumptions about her.
He really did not mean to upset her, but now looking back on the situation, he should have definitely not said that to her with the intention of making her upset.
He hoped that he would have a chance to apologize later. Now that things were finally getting somewhat 'normal' between them where they were in a place that they could talk to each other comfortably, he did not want to ruin it now or ever.
...
Natasha parked her car in the driveway as she got out of the car and carried the shopping bag in her hand.
She walked to the front door as soon as she entered the house she could hear the loud sounds of giggles that instantly made her smile.
She followed the source of the giggles to the living room where Dom and Joy were sitting on the couch reading a book that apparently seemed to be extremely hilarious.
"Mommy!!!" shouted Joy as soon as she saw Natasha and she got off the couch and ran to her.
"Hello my darling how are you?" asked Natasha as she smiled and gave her a hug.
"I'm very good mommy, today I had homework and Miss Honey said that we should get our parents to read this very funny story to us, so daddy said that he would read it to me and it's a very funny story." said Joy as she giggled.
"Well I'm glad to hear that my darling." said Natasha as she walked to the couch and sat down as Joy sat in between she and Dom.
"Yes, so let's continue the story daddy." said Joy as she looked at Dom who smiled and looked at Natasha asking her with his eyes if it was the right time for them to tell Joy about her dress to which she nodded.
"Yes we will continue the story later princess, but now, your mommy and I have something important to tell you." said Dom as he smiled and Joy looked confused.
"You do?" she asked as both Natasha and Dom nodded.
"What is it?" she asked.
"Well my darling, I am sure that you know about the company's joint anniversary party that your Aunt Lulu has been planning for a while now." said Natasha as Joy looked at her and nodded.
"And the party is going to be soon, and your daddy is going and I am going, so we decided that you should go with us too." said Natasha as she smiled.
"Yayyyy, I get to go to a party." said Joy in excitement as Dom and Natasha laughed.
"Yes you do, but that's not all princess." said Dom as he smiled.
"Really?" asked Joy in confusion, she wondered what else there was.
"Yes my darling, the surprise is that we got you a very lovely dress to wear to the party." said Natasha as she smiled brightly.
"You did?" asked Joy with a huge smile on her face.
"Yes we did darling, your daddy and I picked out a dress for you together." said Natasha.
"You and daddy picked out a dress together... for me??" asked Joy in disbelief as she turned to look at Dom who nodded with a smile. She almost gasped, it was a very rare thing for her parents to decide to buy her something together, she was quite frankly surprised in a good way.
"Yes we did my princess, it's your favourite colour, and it's a gorgeous dress and we are sure that you will love it." said Dom with a smile.
"Oh thank you mommy, thank you daddy." said Joy as her face lit up with a very bright smile.
"Do you want to see the dress my darling?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded and Natasha looked at Dom who stood up and walked out of the living room and returned in a short while.
"Here it is princess." said Dom as he handed her the shopping bag and she removed the box out of the bag and she opened the box and gasped when she saw the prettiest orange dress that she had ever seen.
"I love it mommy, I love it daddy, thank you so much." said Joy as she showered Dom and Natasha with hugs and kisses as they giggled.
"You're welcome my darling." said Natasha as her heart warmed up instantly seeing Joy's sincerely happy reaction.
"Don't you want to try it on princess?" asked Dom as Joy shook her head.
"No, I want to keep it special, I will wear it when we go to the party." said Joy seriously as Natasha laughed.
"Are you sure my darling?" asked Natasha as Joy nodded.
"Yes I am very sure mommy. I am going to keep it in my closet right now." said Joy as she quickly rushed to her room as Dom and Natasha laughed.
