Lia raised her head as she turned back to see her father still there, after what her mother had just said there was nothing she could see, she never wanted this happen, all this was just too much for her to bear, why did she have to suffer like this?
"Daddy...?" called Lia in a small still voice as Cecil turned to look at her, his eyes filled with sadness and despair that made Lia feel absolutely terrible, she had hurt the man that was her support, the man who never thought anything bad of her, all he did was love her unconditionally and look, now she had disappointed him.
"Princess you...I...*sigh*, I need to leave" said Cecil as he sighed and shook his head, he couldn't do this, not at all, this was just too much for him to bear.
He would have never imagined that his own daughter could be capable of all the things she did... it was too much, just too much... had he truly been raising a criminal all this time? Was it really his fault? Cecil could not help but feel like it truly was his fault, Alyssa was right, he was partly to blame for how Cecilia had turned out.
He was even starting to fear for his own safety he didn't know what was going on in his daughter's head and that scared him to death, how could he raise a child that he could not trust? He just needed some time to think and be alone and cool his head.
"Daddy, please don't go, please don't leave I'm sorry, I know I did something wrong, but I'm sorry, don't leave too" cried Lia as a multitude of tears dropped down her face as Cecil sighed in despair and averted his eyes.
He hated seeing her cry, but right now, he didn't want to care, he did not know what to think.
"You need to... you need to be alone and think about what you've done Cecilia..." said Cecil as he turned around and left the room without saying anything more, leaving Lia feeling nothing but great despair.
Lia sank back into her bed as she let all her tears flow down, today was the worst day of her life, not only had she lost the trust and respect of her friends, but she also lost the love of her parents especially her mother.
She had done many bad things in the past, but not once had her mother ever look at her or speak to her the way she did, her mother was so angry that she even disowned her.
Lia's flowing tears gradually turned into sobs as she broke down, now she truly at her lowest point, she was forsaken, no one loved her, no one wanted her, no one trusted her, she truly had the most miserable life.
What was the point of having everything when all the people you loved want nothing to do with you?
Lia was in so much distress she felt like dying, what was the point of living when no one would care if you were gone?
Lia had nothing but negative thoughts flowing through her head, and through it all, she could not help but think that she deserved all of this, all of what was happening to her, but it was still just too much for her to bear, she felt utterly miserable.
...
Pete sighed as he parked his car, stayed in there for a few minutes before coming out and taking a deep breath. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea to be here, but he had a feeling that his presence would be needed greatly.
Due to the nature of his job, he was used to feeling danger at all times, so nothing fazed him, but right now, he felt nervous being here for the first time in a long time.
Pete shrugged off his thoughts as he walked to the front door and knocked as he waited for a reply.
Pete heard the sound of footsteps approaching the front door as the door opened and Alyssa was the one who answered the door.
"Good Afternoon ma'am" said Pete politely.
"Afternoon, do you need help with something?" asked Alyssa as she seemed to be in a hurry and honestly she was in no mood to answer anyone, not after what had just happened.
"Yes I am here to see Lia" said Pete and as soon as he said those words Alyssa's face contorted into a ugly expression.
"I am a friend of hers, I want to know if she's okay" he added as he was sure that it was not the right time to tell Alyssa that he and Lia were in a serious relationship, after all he hadn't met her parent's yet and this was not the way he would have liked to do that.
"I see..." said Alyssa as she frowned.
"Well I don't think that she would like to see anyone right now, but it doesn't matter try your luck, she's upstairs in her room, second door on the right" said Alyssa hurriedly as she honestly wanted nothing to do with her disappointment of a daughter.
"Alright, thank you ma'am" said Pete as he gave a polite smile which Alyssa didn't return as she left and Pete closed the front door, made his way to the stairs as he found Lia's room.
At first he knocked and he received no reply, so he knocked again and still no reply, that made him worry, and he could hear sounds coming from inside the room which meant that there was definitely someone in there.
"Lia..." called Pete softly as he walked into Lia's room slowly only to see Lia on the ground curled up in a ball crying.
"Lia, what's wrong are you alright?" asked Pete as judging from the scene he was seeing it was clear that she was not alright, but he just had to ask.
"Peter is that you?" asked Lia in disbelief as she continued crying as Pete walked to her side.
"Yes it's me Lia, what happened?" asked Pete as Lia just hugged him tightly as she cried.
"W...What... what are you doing here? I thought you were out of town for a mission?" asked Lia as she felt like it was a dream that Pete was here, she was just imagining him, and even if she was, she didn't want to wake up from this dream.
"I was, but I got back quickly, I didn't feel alright with leaving you alone, you didn't sound so good over the phone, tell me what happened, why are you like this?" asked Pete in worry as he could tell that she was suffering.
"Oh Peter, it's horrible, it's terrible, I feel so bad, everyone hates me, my father, my mother, my own mother... she... she even disowned me, she said that she can't believe that I'm her daughter" said Lia as saying the words out loud made her feel just terrible, she started to cry more.
"I can't take this Peter, this is too much for me to bear, I can't, I don't want to live anymore, I want to die, I want to die!" said Lia as she held him tightly and sobbed, she was tired of this all, she had suffered too much today.
"No don't say that Lia, you don't want to die" said Pete as he tried to comfort her.
"No, I want to die, I want to die, I am sure no one would even care if I died today, they all hate me, to them I am nothing but a criminal" said Lia as she looked at Pete her eyes extremely red from all her crying.
"Listen to me Lia, I know everything seems bad right now, but it's going to be okay I promise you" said Pete as he rubbed her back.
"No one ever said that telling the truth would be easy, but you had to do it, and you made up your mind to do so, and now that you've done it, you have a clean conscience there is nothing anyone can say against you because you confessed yourself" said Pete.
"I know that you can't feel it now, but what you did made you feel free, sure everyone is in a moment of anger and disappointment, but that will fade" said Pete softly.
"No it won't, it won't my parents... they are so disappointed in me, they don't even think that I'm their daughter" said Lia as she cried.
"It's normal that they are upset, but you are their daughter and they love you... just give it some time, that's what they need, time..." said Pete as Lia sobbed.
"But I'm here for you" said Pete as Lia looked at him.
"You won't leave me and reject me like everyone else?" asked Lia her voice cracked seeking for warmth and acceptance.
"I won't, I will never leave you Lia, I love you and I mean it" said Pete with so much sincerity that Lia could not help but break down in tears as she rested her head on his chest and Pete gave her a tender kiss on the forehead.
"I'm here, and it's going to be alright, I assure you" said Pete as he rubbed her back, he knew that she needed him now more than ever and he would never leave her, he wouldn't.
...
Dom sighed as he looked up into the sky as the sun was starting to set, he had tried to come out to the backyard to get some fresh air in the garden to clear his mind, but nothing seemed to be working, he just felt terrible right now.
Terrible for everything, terrible for what had happened, terrible that he did not believe Natasha for all these years he had let Lia manipulate him and everyone else, how could he have decided not to believe Natasha?
If anything she was the most trustworthy person and he knew that... so what changed?... what happened, why did he act so differently? So stupidly.
Dom sighed once more as he looked down when he felt some pecking on his foot as he saw Maggie just being a normal chicken eating some bits of corn that had dropped from on his shoe when he decided to feed her.
Dom looked down and smiled at the innocent chicken who had no care in the world, she was just pecking up and down, eating.
Dom bent down and petted Maggie as he gave a soft smile.
"You are living the best life aren't you? There is nothing for you to worry about, all you do is sleep and eat, and play with Joy" said Dom as he smiled and Maggie raised her head to look at him before clucking and returning to the task at hand.
Dom smiled when he heard his phone ring and he checked it to see that he had a text message.
Dom carried Maggie off his shoe as he put her down and walked in from the garden into the kitchen and he carried a little pink suitcase as he made his way out the front door only to see Michael standing outside.
"Dom, how are you doing?" asked Michael as Dom walked over to him.
"Terrible..." replied Dom as Michael had expected him to say that.
"And Natasha?" asked Michael as Dom shook his head.
"Even worse" replied Dom.
"Have...you guys talked?" asked Michael.
"Not really, she was crying when I got here, and she told me to leave her alone before locking herself in her room and she hasn't come out all day" said Dom as he sighed.
"Give her some time... this isn't easy, she needs time to process it all" said Michael with a frown.
"You don't think I know that? But this whole thing is killing me, I want to apologize, I want to make her know just how sorry I feel, but I don't have the slightest idea how to do that, a normal apology isn't enough for something like this, I was the one that mostly contributed to her suffering and I just feel so terrible that I would believe something so wrong about her" said Dom as he sighed and Michael could see just how remorseful his friend was.
"Just be honest Dom... that's what you should do... be honest and try to be understanding" said Michael as Dom nodded.
"How's Joy?" asked Dom.
"You know how she is, she's fine, enjoying time with Grandfather and aunt, it's as if she doesn't even miss you or Natasha" said Michael as he laughed lightly and Dom smiled.
"As long as she's happy" replied Dom as Michael nodded.
"Well here are some of her clothes" said Dom as he handed Michael the little pink suitcase.
"Her toothbrush and slippers are in there as well" said Dom as Michael nodded.
"How long do you think she will stay over there?" asked Michael.
"Honestly I don't know, but not too long, Natasha and I just need to discuss things first" said Dom as Michael agreed.
"Well I better get going now before it gets too late" said Michael as Dom nodded.
"You will be fine Dom, just try to relax and think of what you intend to say when you speak to Natasha" said Michael as he would have liked to talk to Natasha, but now was not the time.
"Thanks Michael" said Dom as Michael gave a quick smile before entering his car and driving away.
Dom sighed once more as he turned around and walked back into the house.
...
Dom washed his dish in the kitchen sink as he dried it and walked out of the kitchen and switched off the lights.
He had thought that Natasha would come down for dinner, but he never heard an indication that she came out of her room, he was sure that she had no intention to leave her room today.
Dom walked up the stairs as he was about to turn left when he changed his mind and turned to the right. He walked to Natasha's room and was about to knock when he hesitated, hearing slow quiet, pain filled sobs coming from inside the room.
That just made his heart sink even more... she was still crying after all this time... it showed just how truly hurt she was.
Dom stopped himself as he knew she needed more time... he turned around and walked to his room and got into bed, hopefully tomorrow would be a better day he hoped...
