"Oh Aunt, once again you outdid yourself with dinner, a nice home cooked meal, if you keep on cooking like this, I don't think that I'm going to go home, I might as well move in" said Charlie as he looked at Margaret and Margaret laughed at him.
"Oh Charlie" said Margaret as she laughed and Michael laughed as well.
"I am serious Aunt" said Charlie as he laughed.
"Don't you dare think of moving in, I prefer the house quiet as it is" said Ernest Jr.
"Oh uncle come on, you don't want me to come live with you?" asked Charlie as he looked at Ernest Jr.
"Not at all" said Ernest Jr as he shook his head.
"Oh don't be mean honey" said Margaret as she looked at Ernest Jr and she laughed.
"You don't have to worry Charlie, I love cooking, next time you crave my food, just tell me, I will make something for you and ask Alfred to bring it to you" said Margaret as she smiled.
"Oh thank you Aunt, you are the best" said Charlie as he smiled.
"You are welcome Charlie" said Margaret as she smiled.
"Aunt, do you by any chance have some more dessert?" asked Charlie with a smile.
"You are in luck, I baked an almond cake just this afternoon, it's in the kitchen" said Margaret as she smiled.
"That Almond cake is calling my name" said Charlie as he rushed in the direction of the kitchen.
"Charlie, don't you dare finish all that cake by yourself" said Michael as he rushed after Charlie.
"The both of you shouldn't finish the cake" said Ernest Jr as he sighed.
"Relax honey, I made you a special cake, let them have it, it's not everyday that they come home" said Margaret as she held Ernest Jr's hand.
"You did?" asked Ernest Jr.
"Yes I did honey, your favourite, raisin cake" said Margaret as she smiled.
"Alright then" said Ernest Jr as Margaret laughed at him, he really could be so childish sometimes.
…
"Oh sister in law, I'm going to miss you, we never get to see each other much" said Lulu as she hugged Natasha.
"Why? Aren't you staying home longer?" asked Natasha as she smiled and Lulu broke their hug.
"No unfortunately not, I have to go back to school tomorrow, I just dropped by for family dinner" said Lulu as she smiled.
"Oh alright then, I wish you good luck" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Thank you Natasha" said Lulu as she smiled and Dom cleared his throat to remind them both that he was still here.
"I'm here as well you know" said Dom as Lulu looked at him in annoyance.
"You are such an attention hog, of course I know that you are here" said Lulu as she frowned and Dom laughed, if anyone was the attention hog it would be her, she was doing it right now anyway.
"So you had no intention to say goodbye to me as well?" asked Dom.
"You don't have to know everything, and I don't have to say goodbye to you" said Lulu.
"Lulu, why are you upset with me?" asked Dom as he shook his head and he sighed.
"There you go again, everything about you" said Lulu as Natasha just stayed quiet, watching the two siblings argue, she did not want to get involved at all.
"What's going on here?" asked Ernest as he walked to where they were standing.
"Nothing Grandfather" said Dom and Lulu at the same time.
"You cannot say nothing, I heard everything" said Ernest.
"He started it Grandfather" said Lulu as she pointed an accusing finger at Dom and he sighed.
"Louise what did I tell you about pointing an accusing finger" said Ernest.
"Sorry Grandfather" said Lulu.
"Now Dominic is your older brother, he is ten full years older than you, before you could walk, he was doing serious mathematics, so you have to respect him, he only cares about you, now as the good, responsible, cultured young woman that you are, apologize to your older brother" said Ernest as he smiled.
"Dom, I am sorry, forgive me" said Lulu as she looked at Dom.
"It's fine Lulu" said Dom as he smiled.
"Good" said Ernest as he smiled.
"Grandfather may I be excused?" asked Lulu.
"You may" said Ernest as he smiled and Lulu walked away, but before she did, she did not forget to stick out her tongue at Dom in annoyance, which made him laugh.
"My dear, thank you for coming home, I have missed seeing you" said Ernest as he smiled.
"Aww Grandfather I missed you too" said Natasha as she hugged Ernest and he smiled.
"I also miss my curly haired great granddaughter" said Ernest as he smiled.
"You know Grandfather, I still wonder where she got her curly hair from" said Natasha as she laughed and she broke their hug.
"Oh don't you know that my Mary had curly hair" said Ernest as he smiled.
"Yes Grandfather, I remember that Grandmother had curly hair, but what does that have to do with anything?" asked Natasha in confusion.
"Haven't you ever heard of something called a recessive gene before my dear?" asked Ernest as he smiled and Dom laughed.
"Umm Grandfather, I don't think that's how it works" said Dom as he laughed.
"Are you a Doctor Dominic?" asked Ernest.
"Well no Grandfather but I…" said Dom as he was cut off.
"Then be quiet, you don't know anything, but that's how It works, the curly hair gene skipped your father, you and your sister, and landed on my wonderful granddaughter" said Ernest as he smiled and Dom sighed and he shook his head as Natasha laughed.
"Whatever you say Grandfather" said Natasha as she laughed.
"Thank you dear, you are better than my own grandson" said Ernest as Dom sighed.
"Grandfather it's getting late now" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Yes my dear, you both can go now, have a safe drive back home, and be safe" said Ernest.
"Thank you Grandfather, take care as well" said Natasha as she smiled and she gave Ernest a kiss on the cheek and he smiled.
Natasha sighed as she could see that Nine, Charlie and Michael were nowhere to be found, they were still inside, which meant that she had no other choice than to go back home with Dom.
Natasha walked to the car as Dom opened it and she entered in the back.
"Goodnight Grandfather" said Dom as he smiled.
"Goodnight" said Ernest as he smiled and he got into the car as he started the car and they drove away as Ernest smiled and he walked back into his house.
Natasha looked at her phone as Dom sighed internally, she was really bent on not talking to him, he did not know what to do, he didn't want to keep on beating around the bush, they would go nowhere, if he didn't talk to her now that they were finally alone, then they would never talk.
Dom cleared his throat and Natasha ignored him as she looked through her texts.
"When were you going to tell me that you were arrested?" asked Dom as he hit the nail on the head and Natasha froze as she looked at him and he looked at her through the rear view mirror.
"Son of the law you traitor!" said Natasha to herself as she sighed, didn't Pete promise her that he wouldn't tell Dom that she was arrested.
"I don't know what you are talking about" said Natasha as she feigned ignorance.
"Don't try to play that game Natasha, Peter called my himself, and he told me everything" said Dom as he sighed.
"When did you plan to tell me?" asked Dom.
"How about never? It is none of your business what happens in my life" said Natasha.
"Well it is my business; we share a daughter" said Dom.
"Don't you dare bring Joy into this" said Natasha.
"You know what Natasha, fine, I'm not going to argue with you, I just don't want you doing anything dangerous, that man that is your so called uncle is dangerous, how can you trust a man who planted hard drugs in your suitcase, and caused you to be arrested?" asked Dom.
"Whoever I mingle with is none of your business" said Natasha.
"You don't even know what you are talking about" said Natasha.
"I do Natasha, I do, you cannot associate yourself with a criminal" said Dom.
"Just shut up, I am not going to argue on this with you, you weren't the one who was arrested for three days, and did you hear me complain?" asked Natasha.
"Natasha I don't want to argue with you either, but I was alarmed when I heard what happened" said Dom.
"I don't need you caring about me" said Natasha.
"I don't care about you, I care about Joy, anything that happens to you, affects Joy" said Dom.
"I know how to handle my private affairs, and not let them affect my daughter, because she is very precious to me" said Natasha.
"This isn't the first time that I have had my own problems to deal with, remember that I basically raised Joy on my own without you for five years, while also handling my own emotions and depressions, so I know what I am doing" said Natasha.
"How I am as a woman, does not affect how I am as a mother, I know that those are two different roles, I do my best to shield my daughter from things that will hurt her, and you know that" said Natasha.
"You are only raising an alarm now because you want to be involved in everything that I do" said Natasha.
"That was not my intention at all Natasha, I apologize if I made you feel that way" said Dom.
"If you really don't care about me, then you would leave me alone and never speak about this again" said Natasha.
"Fine" said Dom as he kept quiet and silence reigned between them.
…
Natasha did not even wait for Dom to stop the car as she got out quickly and she walked to the front door of their house as if she was running away from him.
Dom sighed as he stopped the car and he got out of the car as he waited outside for a while when Michael's car pulled up into the driveway.
"What's wrong?" asked Charlie as he got out of the car and he looked at Dom.
"Nothing, just… cooling off" said Dom as he sighed.
"Well enjoy that, it's too cold out here, see you" said Charlie as Nine followed after him and they left Dom alone as Michael got out of the car.
"I owe you one Michael" said Dom as he looked at Michael.
"Don't mention it Dom, were you at least able to talk to Natasha?" asked Michael as Dom shook his head.
"Once I brought up the topic of her arrest, she just got so defensive, we didn't even have a valid conversation" said Dom as he sighed.
"I just don't know why she does this" said Dom as he sighed.
"Sorry to break it to you Dom but Natasha is different now… she has been for a while now" said Michael as he sighed.
"I can see that now… she really has changed… a lot" said Dom as he sighed.
"Don't take it to heart Dom" said Michael as he patted Dom on the back and Dom sighed as Michael walked away.
