Chapter 188 - Flashback From The Future XI

"I want my mommy back" said Joy as she cried, she did not even care that her mother always neglected her, or rarely played with her, she wanted her mother back.

"Oh my sweetie" said the brown haired woman as she cried.

"Aunt Lulu, I want my mommy back" said Joy as she cried.

Dom could only look away, he could not bear to see his Princess like this, so broken, even more broken than he was, she was so young, and yet she had lost her mother, even though he and Natasha had a broken relationship, that did not mean that he wished for her to die, no that was far from it.

"Commander" said Michael as he sniffed and he walked over to Peter as he gave him a handshake.

"Michael" said Pete as he did not shed any tears, he was not here to cry, he did not want to add to the already broken and helpless atmosphere.

"I thought you were not coming" said Michael as he rubbed his eyes, they were red from all the crying.

"I had no other choice…" said Pete as that was all he could say.

"Commander Peter" came Joy's little, broken cracked voice, as she recognized Pete and she walked to where he was standing with her Father.

"Oh hello Princess" said Pete as he smiled, he could tell that Joy was devastated, this was just too much for a ten year old girl to bear, it would have been better if Natasha had died from an illness, but no she was very healthy, she was killed in cold, hard murder.

"How are you doing?" asked Pete as he smiled.

"Bad" said Joy as she cried and Pete could not help himself as he carried her, he did not care if she was five, ten or fifteen, she was the daughter of the love of his life, he loved her like he would love her own daughter.

"Oh Princess, I know you must have heard this many times, but don't cry" said Pete as he did not know what else to say to try to console her, it was clear that Dom was helpless in this situation, and everyone was in their own griefs.

"But how can I not cry? My mommy is gone" said Joy as she cried, to her, Pete did not feel like a stranger at all, even though she had not met him before, he knew her mother, and she felt like she knew him too.

"You know, a pretty girl like you shouldn't cry" said Pete as he smiled.

"I want her back" said Joy as she cried and Michael could not help it as tears fell from his eyes, they were all busy grieving, while none of them took time to ask how Joy was, it was clear that this took a worse toll on her than any of them, not only was her mother gone but her Grandfather was gone too, this was just too much for a child.

"I also want her back Princess" said Pete.

"But we cannot always get what we want" said Pete as a ting of pain flashed in his eyes.

"But I promise you, I will find whoever did this" said Pete as he promised.

"You promise?" asked Joy as she sniffed.

"Of course I promise Princess" said Pete as he smiled and Joy sniffed as Pete put her down and she walked to Dom as he carried her.

"*Sigh*" said Pete as he sighed, he made a promise and he was going to keep it.

"Commander" said Ernest as he rubbed his eyes and he walked over to where Pete was standing.

"Sir" said Pete as he shook Ernest's hand.

"I am happy that you are here… Natasha was fond of you very much" said Ernest as he forced a smile.

"She was more than a sister to me…" said Pete as he smiled sadly.

"Hmm, wasn't she" said Ernest as he smiled, Natasha was just like that, she was a very likable person.

"I know I might sound pushing, but how far with the investigation?" asked Ernest as all he wanted was Justice for Natasha and his friend Larry, who died without knowing was truly happened to his daughter.

"We have nothing tangible yet" said Pete as Ernest sighed.

"But believe me when I say that I will get to the bottom of this Sir" said Pete with determination, there was anger evident in his eyes.

"Please do" said Lia as her voice came out cracked as she stood beside Ernest, her eyes were red and Ernest rubbed her on her back as she held his arm.

"Natasha needs justice, we all do, and I promise you that whoever did this will pay" said Pete as Ernest smiled, he knew that with Pete on the case, they would get justice and closure.

"Excuse me please" said Pete as his phone began to ring, he could not put it on silent he was on duty.

"Hello" said Pete as he answered the call and he walked away.

"How serious is it?" he asked as no one else could hear him.

"*Sigh*, I'm on my way, tell Morales to go ahead" said Pete as he sighed and he ended the call as he walked back to where everyone was.

"I am sorry, but I have to go now" said Pete as he smiled sadly.

"Do not worry we understand Commander" said Ernest as he smiled and Pete smiled as he walked away, he would come here another day to see Natasha, when he could see her alone.

"Goodbye Princess" said Pete as he stopped in front of Dom as he was with Joy.

"Bye" said Joy as she sniffed and she waved at him as he smiled and he walked away, the only thing on his mind was that he needed to solve this case and fast, because whoever did this, would not go scot free.

"How is Joy?" asked Dom as Michael walked to stand beside him, everyone else had left, but Dom was still here, just standing, looking like he was lost.

"She is fine, she is finally asleep, all that crying tired her out" said Michael as he sighed and he smiled, poor little princess, she was heartbroken.

"That's good" said Dom as he sighed.

"How long are you going to stay here?" asked Michael.

"A little longer" replied Dom.

"You want me to wait for you?" asked Michael.

"No… you can go on" said Dom.

"Alright then, I will leave your car here" said Michael as he gave Dom his car keys Dom looked at his hand that had his car keys.

"Stay strong Dom" said Michael as he patted Dom on the back and Dom sighed as Michael walked away, leaving Dom there all alone in the cemetery.

"I can't stay strong" said Dom as he took a deep breath and he sighed.

He put his keys in his pocket as he looked down at Natasha's grave, he looked at the Gravestone as it read, Natasha Innessa Cole White, 1987- 2017, Loving daughter, wife, sister, mother and friend.

"Natasha… please forgive me" said Dom as he broke down.

"I am sorry… if only I had been there, if only I had gone to look for you, you would still be here by my side" said Dom as he began to cry and he fell on his knees.

"I don't even care about what happened, because I believe you, I believe you" said Dom as he cried.

"I would give anything for you to come back, believe me" said Dom as he cried, all his emotions were a mess, he felt guilt, guilt that could not be removed, he could not forgive himself, he could never, because of him, Natasha was gone, if only he had not been so childish as to push her away, he wanted her back.

"Uncle Larry, please forgive me…" said Dom as he turned to look at the grave next to Natasha's.

"I promised you, I promised to take care of your daughter, but I failed… I failed to do that… please forgive me" said Dom as he cried.

"If I could turn back time, I would" said Dom as he felt horrible, all in all, Natasha was still his wife no matter what, he made a promise to love her, and to cherish her, and protect her, and he failed, he did not blame anyone for accusing him of her death, because he was the one that allowed her to be killed, if only he had been there.

"Please forgive me Uncle Larry" said Dom as he cried.

"I need both of you to forgive me please… please forgive me" said Dom as he cried and he rubbed his eyes.

"Please... forgive me, I am sorry… I am sorry" said Dom as he knew saying he was sorry was not enough, what was done was done, and he knew that… he just needed their forgivingness, he needed it badly.

"I am sorry" said Dom as he sniffed.
