"Dom, come on… you can't stay here all night" said Lia as she sniffed and she wiped her tears as she turned to look at Dom who had a blank expression on his face.
"Lia is right Dom" said Michael as he sighed and he stood up as he wiped away his tears, he still could not understand this at all, this entire story made no sense at all, why would Natasha just go out in the middle of the night into the forest?? It made no sense.
"Look, I know that we are all hurt… but we have much more things to do than sit here and be sad… Grandfather needs to be informed" said Lia as she sniffed and she looked at Michael as he stood up.
"I don't think that this is the right time to tell Grandfather" said Michael as he shook his head.
"I don't think he will take the news well" said Michael.
"No… he needs to know as soon as possible" said Dom as he finally spoke up.
"If I don't tell him soon, he will blame me forever" said Dom as he looked at Michael and Lia.
"So, I need to tell him" said Dom as he had thought about it, he could not avoid it at all, and he was so scared to tell his Grandfather, he could just imagine how he would react.
"But Dom, I don't think calling him at this time will make things any better, if so, they will only make things worse" said Lia.
"I know, so I will drive to his house tomorrow and tell him" said Dom as he had made up his mind, he had to be a man…he was sure that Grandfather would never forgive him.
"Dom is right… that is the best decision" said Michael as he agreed with Dom.
"It is best that we tell him tomorrow" said Michael.
"Alright then" said Lia.
"How is Joy?" asked Michael as Dom looked at him.
"Not good" said Dom as he sighed and he covered his face with his hands, this was… this was just too much for his princess, she had lost her mother and she was only ten years old.
"*Sigh*" said Michael as he sighed, he still could not come to terms with what he had just heard.
"I will see her tomorrow" said Michael.
"I am going to tell Nine and Charlie" said Michael.
"Goodnight" said Michael as he walked away, he was devastated, this was just too much… Natasha was too good, to innocent to just die just like that, he could not think straight right now.
"Leave him alone… he needs some time" said Dom as he looked at Lia as she was about to go after Michael.
"And what about you Dom?" asked Lia as she turned to look at Dom.
"You cannot just sit there in sadness… " said Lia as Dom did not say anything at all.
"You need to get some rest… it's late" said Lia as she sighed.
"You can go get some rest" said Dom as he did not listen to her.
"Are you going home?" asked Dom.
"No… No I can't… it's to late… so I will stay here" said Lia as she replied and Dom sighed in relief, in all honesty he would prefer it if Lia was here… he needed her here, he did not know what to do at all.
"Alright then" said Dom.
"You need to get some rest" said Dom.
"Dom you can't do that" said Lia as she frowned at him.
"I am not going anywhere till you go to bed…" said Lia as she looked at him and Dom sighed, he knew that Lia was very serious about staying right there.
"Fine" said Dom as he stood up and he walked out of the living room as he walked up the stairs to his room.
Lia sighed, she did not blame him… this was all just too sudden for all of them… her friend… her best friend since childhood was gone… it hurt so bad.
…
The next morning.
"*Ugh*" said Dom as he opened his eyes and he touched his head; he had a horrible headache.
He had not slept at all last night… he had just thought of how he was going to face everyone… he thought about how this was all his fault… if only he had went looking for her when he did not see her in bed, then they would have avoided all of this… but… but he had not… and now he had lost Natasha… the mother of his child.
He felt like this was all just a nightmare, a horrible one that he would wake up from, but that was not the case at all, the morning was already here, and this felt as real as real could be.
His eyes were red, his mind was clouded and his hair was messy, he just felt so bad right now, no words could explain just how horrible he felt at this moment.
Dom got out of bed as he groaned, he had never had such a strong headache like this before, he needed to get some pain killers.
Dom reluctantly stood up as he walked out of his room and down the stairs to the kitchen… but on his way he passed by the dining room as he heard some voices coming from the dining room.
"My dear… my princess, you need to eat, please eat hmm" said Lia as she smiled as she tried to coax Joy into eating.
"Do you not like the eggs?" asked Lia and Joy did not reply, she just kept her head down as she stared at her food in sadness, she had stopped crying, but she had refused to speak all morning, and Lia was really trying to make her feel better.
"How about I make you some pancakes my princess? Would you like that?" asked Lia as she stroked Joy's hair as Joy did not move at all.
"My Princess, please speak to me… you need to eat" said Lia as she was worried now.
"My Princess" said Dom as he walked into the dining room, he might have been feeling terrible but his princess did not need to feel that way as well.
Joy did not reply, she just looked up to look at her father as he walked into the dining room.
"Good Morning Dom" said Lia as she sighed.
"What's wrong?" asked Dom as he looked at Lia.
"She is refusing to eat" said Lia as she sighed.
"My Princess, are you not hungry?" asked Dom as he turned to look at Dom and he tried his best to smile and Joy nodded her head.
"Why is that so my princess?" asked Dom as he smiled and Joy did not reply.
"Come here my princess" said Dom as he smiled and Joy pushed out her chair as she walked to her Father and he picked her up as if she was very light.
"What's wrong my princess?" asked Dom gently as he looked at Joy and she looked at him, no matter what, he was a father before anything else, and he had to make sure his daughter was alright.
"You miss your mommy don't you?" asked Dom as Joy did not reply to him and she nodded her head as tears began to drop from her eyes.
"My Princess, shush, please don't cry" said Dom as he tried to coax Joy as she nodded her head and she rubbed the tears from her eyes, she had woken up this morning, and her Aunt Lia was here, which meant that her mother was truly gone, she had only seen her yesterday morning.
"You know my Princess… your mommy loved you very much… so much" said Dom.
"And she is looking down and watching over you" said Dom as he smiled.
"And I am sure that she would not want you to be sad, or refuse to eat" said Dom as he smiled.
"I… I miss my mommy" said Joy as she cried.
"I miss her as well my princess" said Dom as he forced a smile.
"But she would not want us to be sad…" said Dom as that was all he could think of right now.
"My Princess, don't cry okay" said Dom as he wiped away her tears.
"Okay" said Joy as she nodded her head.
"Thank you my Princess" said Dom as he smiled and he gave her a kiss on the forehead.
"Please eat my princess, even if it's only a little" said Dom as he smiled and Joy nodded her head and Dom smiled as he put her down and she walked back to her chair as she sat down and she ate her eggs.
"I will be back soon my princess" said Dom as he smiled and he walked away as Lia smiled at Joy and she quickly followed after Dom as he entered the kitchen and he was looking for some pain killers.
"What's wrong?" asked Lia as she saw Dom searching for something.
"I have a terrible headache" said Dom as he found what he was looking for and he poured himself a glass of water.
"Are you alright Dom?" asked Lia as she noticed that Dom looked very tired.
"I will be" said Dom as he took the pill and he drank the water.
"Lia, can you please take Joy to my mother's house? I am sure that she will be better off there… just for a while" said Dom as he sighed, he needed to get himself together.
"Of course, after breakfast I will go along with her" said Lia as she smiled.
"Thank you Lia" said Dom.
"You don't have to thank me Dom" said Lia as she sighed both Dom and Joy needed her right now and she needed them as well, they all needed each other in this time.
