"Hello" said Dom as he picked up his phone and he entered his car as he had just ended a meeting from somewhere important.
"Oh Dom, hello" came Lia's voice from the other side of the line.
"I just went to see Grandfather, and well he told me that Uncle Larry passed away yesterday" said Lia as she sounded very sad, she could not believe it at all, it came as a shock to her.
"*Sigh*, Yes Lia, he did" said Dom as he sighed.
"Oh my, so terrible, this is terrible news, I… I never expected this… Uncle Larry was so young" said Lia as she sounded very distraught.
"Neither did we" said Dom as he smiled sadly.
"How is Natasha, I am sure she is not well after this terrible news" said Lia, Larry was her only parent, and now he was gone, and Lia knew just how close they were, so she was sure that this was not easy for Natasha at all.
"Well she is not doing well at all" said Dom as he agreed with Lia she was right.
"She could not stop crying, I had to call Grandfather to come over, because… I didn't know what to do" said Dom as he sighed.
"But what happened?? Uncle Larry has always been a healthy man, so why would he just go just like that??" asked Lia, this hurt her as well, Larry always treated her like he treated Natasha, he was always nice to her, and she liked him as if he was her own father, so she was very shocked when she heard from Ernest that he was gone.
"He had a heart attack" said Dom as he sighed.
"Do you know why??" asked Lia.
"No, we don't all I know is that Natasha received a call during dinner, and she was panicking so I drove her to the hospital and he passed away not too long after that" said Dom as he explained.
"She didn't even get to give him a proper goodbye, this is horrible" said Lia as she sighed and she shook her head, death was a horrible thing, it took those who you held near and dear.
"Once Grandfather told me, I wanted to come over… but I didn't want to seem like a bother… Natasha needs to be alone now… and I don't want to make her feel worse than she does already" said Lia.
"Well you are right, she does want to be alone, but you should come over, maybe she will talk to you" said Dom.
"I will.. once I can" said Lia as she sighed.
"And what about Joy? How is she doing with all this?" asked Lia.
"Well she seems fine, she does not really understand, but she knows that Natasha feels sad, and Natasha did try to explain to her why she does" said Dom.
"Oh Dom, I still cannot believe it, Uncle Larry is gone… just like that?? He didn't even give us a warning" said Lia as she shook her head.
"I feel the same Lia, at the hospital, I could not even believe it myself, one moment Doctor Freddie assured us that everything would be alright, and the next everything came crashing down" said Dom.
"How are you feeling?" asked Lia.
"Horrible, Uncle Larry always treated me like a son… and now he's gone" said Dom as he sighed, he felt horrible, but he knew that Natasha was entitled to feel even worse, he was her father after all.
"Do the guys know?" asked Lia.
"Well No… I haven't had time to tell them yet, everything just happened so fast" said Dom.
"And I am busy here with the funeral preparations" said Dom.
"When is the funeral?" asked Lia.
"On Saturday" said Dom as he sighed.
"Alright, I will be there, Natasha needs all tour support right now" said Lia as she sighed.
"I agree with you there, she really does" said Dom as he sighed.
"Just take care of yourself Dom, I will tell the guys" said Lia as she sighed.
"Alright Lia, Thank you" said Dom as he smiled.
"You are welcome" said Lia as she smiled and she ended the call.
…
"Guys, Lia just called" said Nine as he put his phone back in his pocket as he turned to look at Charlie and Michael who were eating breakfast.
"Oh, how is she?" asked Michael as he ate his cereal.
"She told me that Uncle Larry died yesterday evening" said Nine as he sighed.
"He what??" asked Michael as his eyes shot wide open and he could not believe what he was hearing now.
"No, that is a lie" said Charlie as he looked at Nine.
"Do I look like I would lie about something this important" said Nine seriously.
"How is Natasha??" asked Michael as his mind went straight to her, her father, her favourite person in the world was gone now.
"Lia said that she is not good at all" said Nine.
"And why didn't Dom tell us?" asked Charlie.
"He did not have the time to, Lia heard from Grandfather" said Nine.
"I am going to see Natasha now, she must feel horrible" said Michael as he stood up, he was worried for Natasha.
"I don't think that's a good idea Michael, I am not sure she would be happy to see us now" said Charlie as he sighed, he also felt bad for Natasha, but that could not erase the fact that all of them were not on good terms.
"Well that doesn't matter, she needs us" said Michael.
"Michael, you need to think, I don't think that she would be in the best mood to see you, she just lost her father, so it's best you leave her alone to grieve" said Charlie.
"*Sigh*, Fine" said Michael as he sighed and he sat back down, Charlie was right, Natasha did not deserve to be hurt even more now, and he was sure that she would not want to see him.
"Just relax Michael, when she is more calm, you can go and see her" said Charlie and Michael kept quiet.
"Wait, why did Lia call you?" asked Charlie as he turned to look at Nine who sat down on the couch.
"She said the two of you were not picking up your phones" said Nine.
"That's true, mine is in my room" said Charlie.
"Mine died" said Michael as he sighed, he could not rest at ease at all, he wanted to comfort Natasha, he was sure that she was feeling horrible right now.
"And that is why she called me" said Nine as he explained.
"I see" said Charlie.
"I am going to call Dom" said Michael as he stood up and he walked to his room to get his phone and charger, he had lost his appetite.
"I don't blame him, Uncle Larry was… Uncle Larry" said Charlie as he sighed and Nine just kept quiet.
…
"Daddy!!" said Joy as she smiled and she walked to Dom as he picked her up and he smiled.
"Hello my princess" said Dom as he smiled.
"Mr. White, my condolences I heard about the passing of your wife's father" said Miss Lolly as she smiled.
"Oh well thank you, I appreciate your kindness" said Dom as he smiled.
"Aren't you a little chatterbox?" asked Dom as he looked down at Joy and she giggled, it was normal for her to talk a lot, she was only aa child.
"She is truly very chatty, but she is brilliant as well" said Miss Lolly as she smiled.
"I can see that" said Dom as he laughed.
"Well I will take my leave now, Goodbye Miss Lolly" said Dom as he smiled.
"Goodbye Mr. White" said Miss Lolly as she smiled.
"Bye Miss Lolly" said Joy as she waved.
"Bye Joy" said Miss Lolly as she smiled and Dom and Joy walked away.
"Daddy, is mommy still sad?" asked Joy as she and Dom walked to the car.
"Well my princess, she is still sad, but she was feeling a bit tired" said Dom as he explained and he opened the car door.
"Alfred told me that she is sleeping now" said Dom as he smiled, he was sure that she must have been sleeping because of the paracetamol she took for her headache.
"Daddy, how long do you think mommy will be sad for?" asked Joy as Dom put her in her car seat.
"Well my princess, I don't know, it might take some time, but I promise you that she will be happy gain soon" said Dom as he smiled.
"Okay Daddy" said Joy as she smiled and she nodded her head, all she wanted was for her mommy to be happy again, for her to be herself again.
"My princess, you always ask questions that I don't expect you to ask" said Dom as he laughed.
"Where do you get all your smarts from?" asked Dom as he smiled and Joy giggled.
"From Mommy" said Joy as she giggled.
"Wow, my princess, I find that offensive" said Dom as he laughed and he shook his head, one thing was for sure, Joy was like her mother in many ways.
