Early on a peaceful Friday Morning.
"Madam, the young Master have already left" said Alfred as he saw Natasha walk down the stairs.
"Oh alright then Alfred, thank you" said Natasha as she smiled.
"I am going out now, I will be back soon" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Alright then Madam" said Alfred as he smiled and Natasha smiled at him, she had now grown the habit to telling him whenever she was going out, because she knew that he would get unnecessarily worried over little things, and he would not be at rest till he saw her back home.
"Have a good day Madam" said Alfred as he smiled.
"I will and you too Alfred" said Natasha as she smiled and she walked out the front door, as she walked to her car.
She wore blue flared jeans and a red shirt, and this time she had taken her black handbag along with her, since she was meeting someone in a professional setting.
Natasha opened the door to her car and she got into her car, but before she drove off, she got her phone from her handbag and she dialed a number as she waited for it to be picked up, and after a while it was.
"Good Morning, I hope we are still on for today" said Natasha.
"I am not one to miss an already scheduled meeting Mrs. White" said Willy's voice as he sounded annoyed.
"Alright, I was just checking" said Natasha.
"Because I am not one to accept disappointment" said Natasha as she smiled.
"I will see you in an hour" said Willy as he ended the phone call, but Natasha did not care at all, she just smiled and put her phone back in her handbag as she started her car and she drove away.
…
"Hello Miss, would you like your usual??" asked a smiling waitress as she walked in front of Natasha as she was sitting down waiting for Willy to arrive.
"Yes please, thank you" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Anytime Miss" said the waitress as she smiled and she went to get Natasha's order, Natasha was a regular customer here, and she was the only woman that ordered a specific blend of tea, so it was not hard for her to know Natasha's usual.
Natasha looked at her phone, so much for being early, the time was 9am on the dot, and the person she had come here to meet was nowhere to be found, or that was until the bell of the coffee shop opened and the man she was waiting for
"Mrs. White" said Willy as he sat down across Natasha at the table she was sitting on.
"Mr, Chestnut" said Natasha as she smiled at him, it was not a friendly smile.
"So what is so important that you asked me to meet you here??" asked Willy as he went straight to the point, after the last meeting he and Natasha had, he would not like to spend anytime with this woman, she was as cold as an iceberg, her pretty face could fool you, but once she opened her mouth, you would be destroyed.
"Your order Miss" said the waitress as she placed Natasha's cup of tea on the table.
"Thank you" said Natasha as she smiled at her.
"Would you like anything sir?" asked the waitress as she turned to look at Willy.
"No, I am fine" said Willy.
"Alright Sir" said the waitress as she smiled and she walked away.
"Well Mr, Chestnut" said Natasha as she took a sip of her tea.
"I called you here because we recently found out something very important concerning you and the business" said Natasha.
"And that is??" asked Willy as he was getting tired of the back and forth.
"We recently wanted to start a store, and our choice for that was Lexington, since the business has land there… or so we thought" said Natasha.
"What do you mean?" asked William.
"Mr. Chestnut, the thing is that the land is not registered under the business's name, but rather it is registered in your name" said Natasha as she sighed.
"Well which means that you own the land Mr. Chestnut" said Natasha as she explained.
"So why did you call me here??" asked Willy.
"Do you want me to just get up and hand over the land to you??" asked Willy as he scoffed.
"No or course not" said Natasha as she shook her head.
"I am willing to buy the land from you… at reasonable price of course" said Natasha as she looked very serious.
"My business needs the land, and you have the land, surely we can come to some sort of agreement" said Natasha.
"Oh I see" said Willy as he shook his head.
"Well then, how about we become business partners?" asked Willy as he smiled.
"Then that way you can get what you want, and I can get what I want" said Willy.
"Well no, I am sorry but that is not possible Mr. Chestnut" said Natasha as she shook her head.
"And why not?" asked Willy.
"*Sigh*" said Natasha as she sighed.
"Look Mr. Chestnut, I do admit that I was too harsh on you last time we spoke" said Natasha as she looked at Willy.
"And for that I am sorry, I offer you my apology now, I was unnecessarily mean to you" said Natasha as she apologized.
"Oh…" said Willy as he did not know what to say, he did not expect Natasha to apologize at all.
"I was not really in a good mood at that time, but now I am, so I will explain my plans to you gently" said Natasha as Willy seemed to be listening to her.
"My plans when I bought the business was to be the sole owner, I was not interested in a partnership, or an agreement, I just wanted to own the business, for me and me alone" said Natasha.
"Which was why when you came along with you offer, I rejected it" said Natasha.
"And I will still do the same now" said Natasha.
"It was never in my agenda to start a partnership, I bought the business, because I wanted something for my own, not to share with anyone else, and the business was suitable for that" said Natasha.
"Which is why, no matter how much you ask for a partnership, I just cannot grant it to you, and I am truly sorry for that" said Natasha as she explained, some times the best way to get someone to see eye to eye with you was to explain to that person why you do what you do.
"*Sigh*" said Willy as he sighed, he didn't know why, but now that Natasha had apologized and explained herself, he no longer felt angry at her.
"Alright, I will sell you the land" said Willy.
"Are you sure?" asked Natasha in surprise, she did not expect him to agree so easily to selling the land.
"Yes I am" said Willy.
"I have no use for a land in that area, and the reasonable thing to do is to sell it" said Willy as he sighed.
"So how much would you sell it for" said Natasha.
"I will first need to see the land's title deed, and from there I can be able to determine a reasonable price due to inflation and all other aspects" said Willy.
"Alright then" said Natasha.
"Thank you Mr. Chestnut" said Natasha as she smiled and Willy smiled.
"You are…" said Willy.
"You are a very peculiar woman Mrs. White" said Willy as he smiled at her.
"And I am also a married woman with a child" said Natasha as she smiled at him, she did not want any misunderstandings.
"Anyway, I believe that you can come over to the farm maybe on Monday, and we can take it from there" said Natasha.
"Alright then, I will see you on Monday then" said Willy.
"Alright then" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Well I am sorry, but I must be going now, I have another meeting" said Willy as he smiled and he stood up, he was running a bit late.
"Alright then Mr. Chestnut, it was nice speaking to you" said Natasha.
"Same here Mrs. White, same here" said Willy as he smiled at her once again and he walked away.
"Well that went well" said Natasha to herself as she smiled and she drank her tea, that went better than she expected, she had expected there to be a fight, which was why she choose a public place for them to meet, but it seemed that she had nothing at all to worry about, because Willy seemed to be a reasonable and sensible man.
Natasha smiled as she drank her tea and in that moment she received a call on her phone a she searched in her handbag as she picked the call.
"Hello" said Natasha.
