Chapter 87 - Childhood Memories IV

The sun was shining very brightly and the clouds were beautifully set in the sky, it was another summer afternoon and the warmth of the sun shone everywhere.

"I need this to be fixed" said Ernest as he was on the telephone as he held it to his ear.

"This cannot go on, this is preposterous, what sort of nonsense is this, I paid you all money to fix this mistake and yet it is still there!" said Ernest as he sounded very angry.

"Tell me, just what am I paying you all for, if you cannot even just fix this little mistake!!" said Ernest as he sounded very annoyed.

"All of you in this supposed agency of yours are incompetent" he said.

"You tell me to calm down, you better fix that mistake first and then we will see" said Ernest.

"Hmm, you will be saying yes sir, and yet you do nothing" said Ernest.

"Nonsense!" said Ernest as he ended the call angrily and he sighed as he placed the telephone on the stool right beside him and he leaned into his armchair as he closed his eyes and rubbed them.

"Who is trying to sneak past that corner???" asked Ernest as he rubbed his eyes.

"Come out now and show yourself, In fact I can see you already" said Ernest.

"Ahhh…" said Dom as he walked into his Grandfather's office.

"Good Afternoon Grandfather" said Dom as he smiled sheepishly, he thought that his Grandfather was busy and he could not see him, but he did, this made Dom wonder if his Grandfather was human or not, because he had made sure not to make any single noise at all.

"Good Afternoon Dominic" said Ernest as he opened his eyes and he looked at Dom who looked very guilty.

"Can you please tell me what you are doing in my house on this fine afternoon, and why you were trying to sneak past me office??" asked Ernest as he looked at Dom suspiciously.

"Ahh… Well Grandfather I…" said Dom as he was trying to come up with an explanation of some sort.

"Don't answer that" said Ernest as he cut him off.

"Please tell me where your father is" said Ernest.

"Well Grandfather he went to the office today" said Dom.

"And your mother??" asked Ernest.

"She is at home, she does not feel well" said Dom.

"Alright and what are you doing here??" asked Ernest.

"Well Grandfather I wanted to come and see you" said Dom.

"Is that so??" asked Ernest with an raised eyebrow and Dom nodded.

"Well then why were you sneaking past my office??" asked Ernest.

"Ahhh well Grandfather, because I heard you on the telephone and I did not want to disturb you" said Dom as he smiled.

"Mhmmm" said Ernest.

"Regardless of if you wanted to see me or not, I have always told you to call first before you come over" said Ernest.

"But Grandfather, that is not fair, we live right across each other, do I have to call you every single time??" asked Dom as he looked annoyed.

"Yes Dominic you have to call me to inform me that you are coming earlier before" said Ernest.

"But Grandfather!" said Dom as he found his unfair.

"But nothing Dominic, I am raising you to be a good and courteous young man, so call next time before you come over, or I will send you out of my house, are we clear??" asked Ernest.

"Yes Grandfather…" said Dom.

"I will call first next time" said Dom as he still found this unfair, his Grandfather was way too strict, they lived right across the street from each other, and yet he expected him to call every time he wanted to come over.

"Good" said Ernest.

"Grandfather, where is Grandmother??" asked Dom as he looked around.

"She went out to buy more ingredients for her cookies" said Ernest as he picked up a newspaper on the stool beside him and he began to read it.

"Oh" said Dom he wanted some cookies today, oh well maybe next time.

"Have you finished the homework that I gave you??" asked Ernest.

"Yes Grandfather I did, I have it right here" said Dom as he pointed to his backpack that he was holding in his hand.

"Good, I will mark it later, now tell me the real reason you are in my house today??" asked Ernest as he turned the page of the newspaper.

"Ahh well Grandfather, I wanted to compare my answers with the ones of the others, just for some more exposure" said Dom.

"Alright that it a good idea" said Ernest.

"You boys compare your answers and I will mark all your papers together" said Ernest as he read the newspaper.

"You can go up then" said Ernest.

"Thank you Grandfather" said Dom as he smiled and he was about to walk away.

"Wait Dominic" said Ernest as he turned to look at Dom.

"Yes Grandfather??" asked Dom as he turned back.

"Let me see your homework first" said Ernest.

"Ahh… well" said Dom as he sounded nervous but he opened up his backpack regardless.

"You know what, on second thought, there is no need for that, run along" said Ernest.

"Okay thank you Grandfather" said Dom as he sounded relieved and he ran away up the stairs before his Grandfather could call him back again.

Dom was running so fast that he did not notice that he was about to bump into someone until the person stopped him.

"Pleas slow down Young Master" came the voice of a young man, he had black hair and brown eyes.

"Oh Sorry Alfred, I did not see you there" said Dom as he stopped running before he could bump into Alfred.

"It's alright Young Master, but you know the Old Master's rule about not running In the house" said Alfred as he looked at Dom and he smiled.

"Yes Alfred, I will not run anymore" said Dom

"Alright then, see you Dom" said Alfred as he smiled and he walked to a room he knew very well and he knocked on the door.

"Who is it??" came a voice from the other side of the door.

"Dracula" said Dom and the door was opened for him.

"Hey guys" said Dom as he smiled and he entered the room.

"Hey Dom" said Michael as he smiled as he was sitting on his bed that was shaped like a car.

"Hey Dom" said Charlie as he was the one who opened the door for Dom and Zavi was laying on the top bunk bed.

"Hey Zavi" said Dom as he looked up at Zavi who was playing with a little ball and the threw it to the celling and he caught it again.

"Hey" said Zavi as he did not look at Dom at all.

"What brings you here Dom??" asked Charlie.

"Homework" said Dom as he opened his backpack.

"Gosh no wonder, I was sure that the old man would not let you see us if it was not something important" said Michael as he sighed.

"Yes yes" aid Zavi.

"But didn't you finish your homework already?? And we all did too" said Charlie.

"Yes, But we are comparing answers" said Dom as he brought out papers from his back.

"But his isn't…" said Michael as Dom gave him a paper.

"Comics!!!" said Dom as he smiled and he brought out four colourful comics.

"Dom you tricky boy" said Charlie as he laughed.

"How else would I have got you guys these comics??" asked Dom as he laughed and he gave each one of them a comic.

"You really outsmarted Grandfather this time" said Charlie as he laughed, he knew that Grandfather would only let them be if it concerned homework.

"As you requested, I got Batman for you Zavi, Superman for you Michael, and Spiderman for you Charlie, while I have hulk" said Dom as he closed his backpack and he locked the room door just in case his Grandfather decided to check on them and he sat back down on the carpet.

"My dad got me the latest issues" said Dom as he took his own comic.

"Ugh your dad is the best Dom" said Charlie as he sat down at his bed.

"Haha I know" said Dom as he laughed.

"I wonder how he is the son of Grandfather, when Grandfather is so… you know serious" said Michael as he laughed.

"I bet he takes after Grandmother" said Dom as he laughed and he read his comic.

"Yes Grandmother is very sweet" said Charlie as he smiled.

"And she is even making fresh homemade Pizza for dinner today" said Michael as he licked his lips.

"She already made the dough before she left to the store and it is rising" said Charlie happily.

"Awww Noooo, I wish that I could stay for dinner but my dad is going to come home for dinner today, and Mom is making dinner" said Dom as he sighed.

"Don't worry, we will describe the taste to you Dom" said Zavi as he laughed.

"Very funny Zavi, very funny and very harsh" said Dom as he laughed.

"Haha" said Zavi as he laughed.
