Chapter 41 - What about

"My dear, what do you say if I get you a babysitter?" asked Natasha as she looked at Joy.

"Since mommy will be going out more now, how about I get you a babysitter, so you do not have to be alone?" asked Natasha as she played with Joy's curly hair.

"Hmmmm" said Joy as she seemed to be thinking, and Natasha found Joy's thinking face cute.

"So what do you say my baby?" asked Natasha as she laughed and she poked Joy's nose.

"No Mommy" said Joy.

"I do not want a babysitter" said Joy

"But why not my baby?" asked Natasha as she wondered why Joy said no.

"Well because, I do not know the babysitter" said Joy.

"I do not want to be with a stranger" said Joy.

"Daddy says that strangers are dangerous" said Joy and Natasha laughed, her baby's reason was really advanced, her way of thinking was unique.

"That my be so my baby, but once you get to know your babysitter, maybe you will come to like her" said Natasha.

"No Mommy, I do not want a babysitter" said Joy.

"Well okay my baby, whatever you say" said Natasha as she laughed.

"I would rather be with Alfred Mommy" said Joy.

"Alfred is funny" said Joy as she giggled.

"He really is isn't he?" asked Natasha as she laughed.

Joy was right, Natasha as busy looking for a babysitter, when she had the ultimate one right here to home.

If there was one thing Alfred was really good at, that would be taking care of others, especially little children, after all he has had many years of experience with them, and you could say that he was an expert.

"So my baby you would rather spend time with Alfred and not a babysitter?" asked Natasha.

"Yes Mommy" said Joy as she nodded.

"Well okay then my baby, I will ask him if he can watch you when I go out today" said Natasha.

"Okay mommy" said Joy.

"Mommy, when will you be back?" asked Joy.

"Well my baby, I should be back before dinner time" said Natasha as she smiled.

"Okay Mommy" said Joy as she smiled.

"I have finished cleaning the windows in the west wing" said Lexi as she entered the kitchen with an empty metal bucket.

"Are you sure Lexi?" asked Alfred as he turned to look at Lexi.

"Yes I am Alfred" said Lexi.

"I only cleaned the windows from the inside" said Lexi as she put the bucket back in its rightful place, and she squeezed the red cloth in the sink to make sure it was dry before she hung the cloth on the drying rack.

"Well that is alright, you can clean the windows from outside tomorrow" said Alfred.

"Thank you Alfred" said Lexi.

"You can take the day off" said Alfred.

"Okay, Thank you Alfred" said Lexi as she left, she did not even say anything else.

"She really does look miserable" said Alfred to himself, he felt bad for the girl, but in a way she deserved it.

"Alfred you called for me?" asked Mason as he walked into the kitchen.

"Yes Mason" said Alfred as he looked at Mason.

"There was a window broken in the bodyguard quarters" said Alfred.

"Those boys were being irresponsible and they ended up breaking something" said Alfred as he sighed.

"I need you to fix it" said Mason.

"Oh well alright" said Mason as he sighed, this was he second time this month that those reckless bodyguards had broken something, he thought that it would be best that if they broke anything, it would be automatically be deducted from their salary, so that way they could have some sense of responsibility.

"Alfred I think that a new rule of breaking the objects in the house needs to be passed" said Mason.

"What do you mean Mason?" asked Alfred.

"I mean that for every object that those bodyguards break, a damage fee should be deducted from their salary" said Mason.

"That does sound like a good idea" said Alfred.

"Yes, is it not??" asked Mason as he looked very proud of himself.

"I will see what I can do about that" said Alfred.

"But for now, that is not important, what we need is for that window to be fixed

said Alfred.

"I need you to go and buy some glass to fit that window" said Alfred

"Awww, but can I not go now, can I go tomorrow?" asked Mason.

"Very well then, you can go tomorrow, so for now go and measure the broken window so that you will be able to know what size of glass to buy" said Alfred.

"Okay then, that is not a problem at all" said Mason, at least he still had the rest of today to do nothing and walk around aimlessly.

"Oh and one more thing, Amalia will come with you" said Alfred.

"What??? Nooo" said Mason.

"Is there a problem??" asked Alfred as he turned to look at Mason.

"Yes, yes there is a big problem, Amalia hates my guts" said Mason to himself, as he would not dare say that out loud to Alfred.

"No Alfred, there Is no problem" said Mason as he laughed suspiciously.

"I am just surprised on why Amalia has to follow me?? I can go by myself and buy the glass needed" said Mason.

"It is simple" said Alfred.

"I trust Amalia, I do not trust you, not even the slightest bit" said Alfred.

"Wow Alfred, that was really a hard blow" said Mason, as Alfred did not even trust him, so he had to entrust him to a babysitter, who was none other than Amalia.

"Knowing you, you might just end up going somewhere else entirely before you go and do what you are actually supposed to do, so get ready for Amalia to follow you tomorrow" said Alfred.

"Alright, Alright okay" said Mason.

"But Alfred, are you sure that Amalia will agree to that?" asked Mason.

"What will I not agree too??" asked Amalia as she walked into the kitchen with a tray as she heard her name being called.

"Amalia, perfect timing, I need you to go to the hardware store with Mason tomorrow, can you do that?" asked Alfred as he turned to look at Amalia.

"Umm sure, okay Alfred" said Amalia as she agreed.

"Thank you Amalia" said Alfred as he smiled, if there was one maid he could truly count on, that would be Amalia, she was always on time, and she always did exactly what she was told, which was why Alfred trusted her very much.

"You are welcome Alfred" said Amalia as she smiled, leaving Mason shocked as he did not expect her to agree at all.

"Michael, I told you, I told you that you would not be able to finish what you ordered, and yet here you are" said Lia as she face-palmed.

"You have only ate the first steak, and half of the second one, and you still have the third steak left, along with your chicken salad that you only ate once" said Lia as she scolded Michael who looked very full.

"Lia don't scold me, I will finish my food" said Michael as he groaned.

"Oh, in which year?" asked Lia and Charlie and Dom laughed, while Nine ate in silence.

"In this same year we are in" said Michael, he had to admit, he had bit off more than he could chew.

"Does anyone want my chicken salad?" asked Michael

"No" said Dom.

"No" said Charlie.

Nine shot Michael a glare that read "Don't even expect me to pity you"

"I will not eat your salad Michael, just for the sole purpose of letting you suffer for ordering too much food" said Lia.

"Aww Lia, don't be so mean" said Michael.

"Whatever" said Lia.

"*Ahem*" said Dom as he cleared his, he was done with his food.

"So Lia, I have something important to ask you" said Dom as he looked at Lia.

"Sure, what is it?" asked Lia as she looked at Dom.

"It's about Natasha" said Dom and Lia's face went sour for a quick second, but it went back to normal in an instant.

"What about Natasha?" asked Michael as he sat up straight.

"Oh Michael, she has been acting very weird lately" said Charlie as he sighed.

"She has started to go out, and I do not know where she goes out to" said Dom.

"She has decided to learn how to fight, and she had probably done much more things that we are not aware of" said Dom as he sighed.

"That sounds serious" said Michael, as he seemed to be thinking.

"Yes, it is and I am worried about her" said Dom.

"So Lia, I want to ask you if she told you anything?" asked Dom as he turned to Lia.

Lia looked at Dom, she was not going to tell him that Natasha told her that she was not longer in love with him, or that she was never in love with him at all.

Lia knew how this world worked, if she told Dom that, Dom would start to get interested in Natasha, in an attempt to figure out what it is that happened for her to change like that, and she did not want that, Dom was hers, he was since they were children.

Now that she thought of it, if not she was sure of Natasha sincerity, since she could see it in her eyes, she would be certain that this was another one of Natasha's plans.

"No… No she did not tell me anything, we just talked about how it was abroad, and Joy and that was all" said Lia as she lied.

"I see" said Dom as he was now at a dead end, if Natasha did not even tell her best friend what she was up to, then he was sure that she was planning something dangerous.

"Look at the time, have we been here for an hour already?" asked Charlie as he looked down at his phone.

"Wait what??" asked Dom as he looked at his watch, he was surprised, it was true, it was 1pm, which meant that they had been here for almost an hour.

"I need to get back to the office now" said Dom as he stood up.

"Oh alright then, I will go with you" said Michael.

"But first I need to pack this food" said Michael as he called for the waiter.

"Okay, just be quick" said Dom as he got ready to leave.

"See you Lia" said Dom.

"Bye Dom" said Lia as she smiled at him.

"Are you guys coming with me?" asked Dom as he looked at Nine and Charlie.

"No" said Nine.

"No we will go back home" said Charlie.

"Lia are you going to go home or??" asked Charlie as he looked at Lia.

"No, I was actually going to go to the car dealership after this, I need to buy my own car" said Lia as she wiped her mouth with a napkin.

"Oh no worries, me and Nine can drop you off there" said Charlie.

"Oh, okay Thank you" said Lia as she smiled.

"Sir your take away" said the waiter as he handed Michael a brown bag.

"Thank you" said Michael.

Dom paid for the meals in cash, while Lia, and everyone else got ready to leave.

"I will see you guys later" said Dom.

"See you" said Lia as she smiled with Nine standing behind her looking very serious.

"See you at home" said Charlie as Michael followed after Dom.
