Bernard's POV
Oh my god…what an asshole.. I never thought Prince Ryan would be like this. So cold. I never thought my mate would be like this. If he thinks he is going to bend me according to his will he is solely mistaken..Nonetheless, he smells like heaven, like an oak tree. I want to bury my nose in his neck and lick…Bernard stopp.. You are not thinking about that. Think about the amazing jasmine smell that is surrounding us. Oh god, I hope our omega mate will be someone sweet and have manners. The prince led us towards the catering area where the jasmine scent is at its most.
The scent leads us to a petite man.. Oh I'm relieved that it is a man otherwise it would be complicated. He was standing with his back to our front and what a wonderful back it is…He got our scent turned to face us.. Oh my god..oh shit..
I can't believe my luck.. Him alex, he is our fated mate!!
Alex has the same shocked expression in his face.Prince didn't notice our expressions and suddenly said..
"My omega is a caterer..??Oh my lord.. I can't imagine my father's reaction."
"What is your name, little one?"
The omega who was glaring at me turned his attention to the prince and blushed.. He looks cute when he does that. He has nice cheekbones, a deep jaw line and bright emerald eyes.The eyes that got me in a lot of trouble.
"Alexander nigel, my prince a-and I-I'm sorry that you got a commoner as your mate".
Hearing the stuttered response, the prince smiled.He actually smiled.
"No problem little one, I'm happy that I got such a gorgeous man as my mate".
Wow. Is this the same one that can't talk to me without scolding me. Wow.. Alex is the only one who can make me feel worthless with just five minutes.
"Bernard, why are you not talking to our omega, where is your smartmouth now?"
I don't know how to respond. I never in my wildest nightmare thought that Alex would be my mate. Before I can come up with a response Alex giggled thrusted his hands forward to shake
"Hi Bernard, I'm Alex". He smiled shyly at me. As if he is meeting me for the first time.
I just nodded. Before either of us could speak a middle aged man who was introduced as Prince Ryan's butler came near us and Prince turned to him.
"Sean, I found my second mate."Sean grinned brightly and bowed to the Omega.
"We need to go to the dining room, my prince. His highness and whole family is waiting there".
"Sean, before that, fetch some appropriate clothes for Alex. Me and my beta will wait in our chambers".
"As you wish my prince".
Alex looks like he is on the verge of tears. Oh my goodness. I don't have time for tears and drama. Prince smiled and nodded at Alex. He went with the butler like a lost puppy.
Prince's eyes never leave him.He then starts to walk towards the centre of the room.I don't know what to do. He acts like he forgot about my existence. I just followed him.
Everyone was staring at me like I killed their puppy. In a way I did, because I just broke their fantasies about marrying the crown prince.Whatever, I don't feel like I'm living a fairytale.
When we reached the center part he suddenly reached for me and grabbed me around my hip.My mate is the most assholest asshole ever.He then clapped his hands to get everyone's attention
"Attention everyone, thank you for coming here. I hope you found one of your mates here. If you don't, don't be sad, your mate will be waiting for you. I'm happy to announce that I found both of my mates here. Standing here, Bernard William Arthur is my beta and Alexander Nigel is my omega. Enjoy the food and have a good day."
With that mini speech he led me through a grand door at the end of the room. We walked through a hallway and neither of us were speaking. He then guided me to an elevator and pressed floor 5.
Elevator door closed and his gaze fell on me.
"So my earlier question, are you a virgin Bernard?"
"Wow my prince, not even a coffee. You are directly aiming at my pants". I sassed back avoiding the question.
He snickered and sighed."ok then. My name is Ryan Rex Pembrook and I'm 19 years old. I'm the future king of Shinzel. I'm one of the strongest warriors in our country. What about you?". Wow, arrogant much?!
"Do you know your first name and middle name both mean king".
He laughed"yes I know".Now tell me about yourself. 20 questions was your idea."You giving me wikipedia facts is not 20 questions"
We reached our floor and stepped out of the elevator. He led me to a hallway that led to a balcony. It was small, regarding the palace standards but cozy. With three cushioned chairs and a coffee table between them. I sat on a chair, and he sat opposite to me.
"To answer your question, My name is Bernard William Arthur, I'm 20 years old. Older than you by the way and I'm a Management graduate."
Now the pleasantries are done,we can go to the main course. Suddenly he was in front of me, leaning into my chair. Hazel green eyes burning a hole to lips and I licked my lips.. Oh god..
