Gently, the lofty modern buildings of the city began to recede in the distance as they delved farther and farther away from civilization. Xzavier fixed his eyes on the window. They were on the outskirts of town and seemed to be heading out of the city. Then all of a sudden, without warning, the coach drive wheeled the horse-drawn vehicle off the main road, leaving a cloud of dust behind them as they plunged into a hidden path that led into the forest.
The road wasn't as bumpy as Xzavier had assumed it would be. For a path in the forest that seemed to lead to nowhere, it was actually paved for carriage rides. Xzavier had always been a fan of the countryside. The fresh air, the serenity, the vegetation and the noiseless atmosphere sat well with his personality. They travelled further in to the forest for about another half hour or so, until finally, they arrived at their destination.
