Martina would be shocked by the number of snacks I was prepared to take out. When I filled the table with snacks, she finally calmed down, reached for the well-packed plums, took out two, put them in her mouth, and smiled contentedly.
What's so good about sour plums? I took another bite of the chips, waiting for her to speak.
She elegantly spat out the core of the plums and took a sip of coffee to clear her throat before saying, "My love for werewolves started ten years ago."
I sat up straight and put down the potato chips in my hand. I pricked up my ears to listen. I wanted to know what Martina's relationship with werewolves was, how much she knew about not being able to transform into a wolf, and whether she could help me transform into a wolf... I wanted to know all of this.
Ten years ago was a very important time for her, I carefully memorized it in my heart.
