[Glen's perspective.]
King called me to his study as soon as he returned. He asked me about the events of the past few days. I reported to him one by one.
"Is the engagement party ready for tomorrow?" King asked in a low voice.
"Everything is ready."
"What about the guests?"
"According to your instructions, I sent invitations to all the heads of the families," I respectfully replied.
"The Celestons were the first to reply. They said that they would bring madam along. They also brought a box of the weapons they developed. I'm afraid that they want to take this opportunity to discuss new business with you."
"Their families are all businessmen. Keep it. Let's see what good things they've produced."
"The head of the Mayfield family said that he was sick, but he did send a long list of gifts.
I heard King snort coldly.
