The day of the exam Elena have been hoping for finally came quickly and everyone prepared for it. The students who were wanting to attend college were more elated and Elena wasn't dull either.
Darren personal brought her here before leaving for his work. Dan was the only bodyguard with her but Elena felt multiple stares at her. She knew Darren must've planted other bodyguards in the examination venue just to protect her.
Elena would trip or bump into someone out of nervousness and Dan noticed it. To him, she wasn't the dumb girl he met few months ago. She was now an epitome of beauty and he love keeping her company.
When Elena came to live with them, he thought she was faking her dumbness to get in the good sides of Darren because that's what many ladies will do but all his thoughts didn't happen and that made him see Elena in a different light.
As for Vivian, she was getting along with Darren and he seems to be more focused on her than Elena while Vivian bloomed like a flower. He heard from Dora what happened a month ago when Darren had gone to Vivian's birthday when he knew Elena was sick.
Dan was also having this feeling that Darren doesn't care much about Elena. Even if they see each other at nights and few times in the morning, it changed the fact that Darren wasn't as caring when he first met her.
Elena bumped into another hard body and winced. She was too nervous to stable herself and being around people always brings back her memory in the streets.
"Elena are you alright?" Dan asked when he saw she was lost.
Elena shook her head and picked up her books that were scattered on the floor but the other person was unwillingly to leave.
"Hey! Don't you have eyes? Didn't you see me when coming?" The voice said in disgust. The young boy who seems to be in his early twenties or nineteen perhaps. His sharp eyes peering down at her with anger dancing in it.
Elena looked on dumbly at him as fear was written all over her smooth tender face. No one here knows she was unable to talk while Dan who was beside her went down to get her pen she left in the car.
The boy wasn't giving up on the small accident and clearly knew the girl might've hurt her nose because of the impact but he cared less as he savoured the beautiful girl staring at him. Her eyes clear as water, her face small and perfect along with her beautiful long hair.
"What happened Elena?" Dan asked when he reached where the boy and Elena were standing.
"Are you with her?" Zach asked and scrutinized the bodyguard. Instinct told him she was a daughter from one of those prominent families with the air around her.
"Yes. I'm sorry if she offended you. Well..." Dan who wanted to say she was dumb was suddenly interrupted by Elena as she dragged him towards another corridor. Before she turned to enter the corridor, she looked back on impulse and saw the boy gazing harshly towards her.
Elena arrived at her class for the exam and Dan left her to avoid any implications and waited at the staircase.
Elena braced up herself and walked into the classroom that was still crowdy as everyone tries to take their seats. Raising her head, she saw it was empty and quickly made for the chair and sat on it.
When the exam was about to start, an aloof figure walked into the class. His hair was disheveled, his eyes were glaring at her. Elena would've changed her seat but she was too stiff to move, I was tge same boy from earlier.
She didn't bother when he came towards her direction because there was no available seat for him.
Zach went towards the desk beside the cheeky girl and said something to the girl who was sitting beside Elena, after sometime the girl stood up and left the seat with her backpack. Elena frowned and looked to her side, Zach hanged his backpack on the desk hook and lean nonchalantly on his seat, perhaps, forced seat.
He threw a lazy look at her and smirked mockingly at the girl. Elena quickly turned her head to face ahead and soon, the exam commenced. Even if she didn't attend highschool, Elena was able to answer her questions diligently.
As for Zach, he was impressed by the quiet girl beside him and also spied on her work. Elena was busy with the questions unbeknown to her Zach was copying her answers. After finishing the objective questions, she raised her head happily only to see the boy copying her work with fast pace.
Elena's eyes went wide as she scanned the class to see the supervisors moving towards them, she stood up immediately and Zach was caught off guard. Elena waved her hand for the man to notice her which many did not.
The man's face was stern and serious as he glared at the girl who was standing, who knew if it was one of their ways to spy on someones work. "What is it?" His stern unfriendly voice made all eyes shift to Elena's direction.
Elena fidgeted a little and peeped at Zach who was now getting uneasy. She used her hand and gestured to the invigilator that this boy beside her was copying her work.
Mr Larry nod and took Zach's script and also took hers. A big frown appeared on his forehead as he glared at the boy. "Up and pack your things to the front, you were caught cheating." The man said and beckoned on Zach to follow him.
Zach removed his cap in anger and threw his backpack over his shoulder and walked away from there towards his new seat but not before glaring at the dimwit girl. "So daring! I'm gonna get you," he mouthed quietly before walking away.
