Iris laid on her back, as well as the others. They were huddled under the blanket pulled up to their chins. Probably they were all thinking of pulling the blanket over their head as they lay in the dim room, listening to noises that seemed to lessen but continue to make their blood cold, imagining who were making those noises and what they were doing.
It's been hours that laid on their back with their eyes and ears opened to every sounds. They even got startled with their own movements which resultes to curses and slaps on the arm for the one who made a wrong move as they continued to lay with their hearts on their throats, whispering a promise of not moving anymore.
As they continued to lay, Iris had fallen asleep. And in her sleep, she dreamed. The same dream where she was just a spectator of the dream she was having, but it wasn't like any other dreams that she had.
