"Are you insane?!" He snapped with disbelief at his firstborn. He could not believe that he would suggest such a thing.
A heavy air enveloped the atmosphere between father and son. They stared at each other, waiting for the other to speak first. When it was clear that his favored son was dead serious with what he said, he leaned back on the backrest of the couch and slowly stroked his chin, thinking.
He was already not very keen on the idea of including his cousins on the list, however, he agreed upon it because his house received a lot of gifts from his cousin to show his gratitude, and he liked the idea that all of them were waiting for him and listening to everything he had asked of them because their lives were on his hands. And he liked the feeling of that. Deciding their fate made him feel like a God.
