All the detectives that were watching and listening in, leaned back, very curious as to what her answer was going to be. Melisa's heart began beating fast, realizing the mistake that she had made, but she was not going to allow one question to send her limping. She had spent years training in the art of deception. If she was lucky she was going to get all the answers to her question without asking.
She cleared her throat loudly; "The last couple of days have been different. I felt the will to leave and did not feel the need to be under bondage," she explained.
"Bondage?" Brown asked, confused.
"I felt free the last couple of days, free to leave. I do not know what was happening with Pickford, but I think he lost control."
The room became quiet with Brown analyzing her reply.
"Maybe you should shed more light on what really happened to Pickford when he was in your custody," she added.
