"Please leave us alone," Abby whispered as she noticed him moving closer to them. He stopped and smiled. He could hear the baby asking something, but Abby quickly covered her mouth.
You don't have to fear me. As I said, I am Erica's friend.
Abby ignored his statement and asked, "Where is the master? Have you seen the master?"
Michael cleared his throat, "Erica has gone to get him. I am just here to make sure you are safe and give you what you need."
He searched through his pockets and removed an orange. "Here I was told Faith wanted oranges."
The little girl peeped, her eyes landing on the oranges. She moved but her mother held her tightly, warning her that she was not interested. She wanted the orange and, noticing her mother was not going to allow it, she burst out crying.
"Faith no... Why are you behaving this way? You know the rules," the mother pleaded.
