Erica slowly took a seat with Faith still in her arms. She grabbed the tablet and called on Abby to sit next to her. But the mother maintained her position, her eyes fixed on her baby.
The little girl was holding on to Erica as if her life depended on it. She did not like the classes, and Erica knew why. No two-year-old would manage to memorize all the nonsense; it was too much for her.
She kissed her on the forehead and handed her to Abby, but she began crying.
Erica wanted to let Abby know that she was not stealing her baby or her stupid master.
"It's okay, mummy won't teach you those sentences. She just wants to hold you," Erica whispered to the little girl.
"Come here Faith, I am sorry," Abby, who was now crying too, began pleading.
"It's okay, go to Mommy."
Faith finally raised her arms as Abby grabbed her. The woman sighed in relief and sat on the corner of the bed, giving her baby a lot of kisses.
