The captain glanced long and hard at the paper in his hand. He could see his boss's signature on it, though it was too quick to sign over the case.
"Are there any complaints?" Agent Brown inquired.
The captain kept staring at the paper with no words.
"I will take that as a no and I have a question. How come every resource has been directed to this house and not looking for Pickford?"
After clearing his voice, the captain replied. "We are doing everything to find Pickford."
The agent only smiled, "And we brought our own team, so feel free to take your men; they need the much needed rest," he said, and walked upstairs.
