Her captain stared at the papers. She was requesting six months' leave. He scrolled down the papers, and he could see her signature. He glanced at her, surprised. Her taking leave was the last thing he expected. He had spent the whole night thinking and planning on how he was going to make her feel the heat. Forced leave had popped up, but he had not expected her to beat her to it.
He coughed and took a seat, still staring at the papers. It appeared she had finally thrown in the towel on her obsession, but he was curious as to why she was finally taking a break. He was curious about what happened the night before.
"Okay, this is a very good decision, but I want to know what happened." He asked
But before she could reply, the mayor walked in, pissed.
"I do not care if Pickford sues this department! I want her fired! " He yelled at the top of his voice.
Both the Captain and Erica got up.
