David opened his eyes and his blurry vision slowly adjusted until everything around him became quite clear for him to see.
A kid about seven to eight years old opened his eyes wide in delight looking down at him before looking behind him to say 'Mom, Dad, he's awake!' with the high pitched child voice.
'Hmmm?'
David was weirded out and racked his brain for a bit in confusion asking 'Holy... I'm supposed to be dead... Wha... huh? Baby hands?'.
"Awhh just look at him. Isn't he lovely dear?" The woman spoke while the man just nodded with a smile. The little boy on the other hand poked the baby here and there taking him out of his reverie.

'What in the... Ability what?'
The man in the body of a baby only became more confused at this development but all that escaped his underdeveloped mouth was 'Ooogaaa?'.
"Oh James you're making our little man angry. Hehe." The man laughed and adjusted his position while also proceeding to touch the baby's hand.
Oddly enough there was no reaction from the HUD panel from before.
'Wait a sec... James? Regenerative Healing Factor? Don't tell me... Troye Sivan! Holy Molly!!!'
"Uwaaaaaa" David suddenly felt stress washing over him and his baby body began to involuntarily outlet his emotions through crying.
"Look at what you did the two of you! You stressed him out! Off you go! There, there now little one... Mommy is here."
Three Years Later...
David is now three and is able to walk and talk with limited capacity, these past few years he learned that he has indeed been transmigrated into the body of a baby who is a younger sibling to James Howlett who will later be known as 'wolverine' of the X-Men.
He is also named David in this world and with some trial and error he was able to better understand his circumstances.

[Potential Points: 1]
In his experience David found that he would automatically be awarded with 1 potential point for every year so in addition to the 1 point that he initially had he was able to integrate James' abilities one by one.
Speaking of James who is currently 10 years old and is yet to awaken his abilities, he still looked very vibrant and full of childish vigor at this point. He would often play with David for a bit before going out of the manor to play and get tutored.
The only thing to wonder about is whether he is actually John's and Elizabeth or did the poor sod get cucked a second time by the groundskeeper Thomas Logan.
David sighed helplessly while thinking about the future.
Three Years Later...
James has been bedridden for a whole year now and it seems like his awakening is finally coming to realization.
With the facade of a curious child David also managed to get his hands on Victor's repertoir of abilities which are oddly similar to James' except for the 'Superhuman Physique A' ability that David was able to integrate.
He also learned that the B, A, and S are the potential of the abilities in his stat panel and would not reflect his current strength.
Through a series of experiments, David was able to discover something new about his goldenfinger when he sneaked out to kill a chicken which earned him .0001 potential point.
It was in no way sufficient but this discovery opened a whole new world of potential for David's future development in this world.
He knew what was about to happen but he felt a bit helpless with his current body.
Sure enough, the fated day arrived soon and David could hear Thomas arguing with Elizabeth in his drunken state from his room.
He listened as his father got out of James' room in a bid to confront the drunken groundskeeper.
There was arguing and there was screaming before a gunshot roared and a short silence ensued, followed by the horrified screams of Elizabeth.
David opened his door and followed James who is languidly running to where the commotion is.
James slumped at the railings and looked down only to see his father slumped lifelessly at the cold ground.
He ran to him, his heart was gripped with fear and he wished that it was all just some dream brought about by his constant fever.
James slumped at the ground where his father is only to confirm his thoughts and ruthlessly bring him to the realization that this is all real.
Anguish and overwhelming pain coursed through James and his instincts screamed murder.
"James... There are things..." Thomas
"You can't..." Elizabeth
"NO MORE LIES!" Thomas
The culprit still held the gun in his hand arguing with his mother abouth things he did not understand. All he could think of is the pain, the anger, and the overwhelming urge for violence. He wished for power to enact such violence in his heart and it was granted. He watched in horror as bone spurs extended from his clenched fists before he charged towards the culprit of his father's death.
Thomas and Elizabeth are both befuddled as they watched as bone spurs grew from James' clenched fist. In Thomas' confusion, he pulled the trigger but missed terribly when Elizabeth intervened by tackling him which tipped the gun upward.
He pushed Elizabeth away and just as he was about to take another aim, Jamed stabbed him with the bone spurs in his fists.
"He... He's not your father... son."
James, in his confusion then regained his wits and what he did suddenly dawned on him like a cold splash of iced water.
He looked at his mother who seemed to be more afraid than concerned, then to Victor who just stood there looking at him and finally to David who is peering down from the stairwell, he felt an overwhelming feeling of guilt and isolation.
"What are you?" Elizabeth muttered in a tone laced with disgust and fear. James, looking at her bolted into a sprint out into the woods not waiting for the retribution of being labeled as a freak by his own mother. Victor just smiled before running out on his own as well.
Elizabeth seemed to have recovered from her trauma after a short pause and realized what she had done. She ran out and began screaming for help. Soon enough, people with lit torches came to her aid with their weapons drawn.
They were initially shocked to see the landowner and the groundskeeper sprawled on the ground in puddles of blood. So Elizabeth lied and told them an altered version of what happened, she told everyone that John and Thomas shot each other which resulted to mutual death before pleading for them to look for James.
Unfortunately for her, under Victor's urging and manipulation, the young James was led to believe that the best way for them to survive right now is to run away and never return, not knowing any better the young James relented and ran away from the search party who are looking for him.
It was already morning when the search party returned empty handed. Although the young master left tracks for the experienced hunters to follow, they can't seem to catch up with the pace in which he traversed the forest.
"I'm sorry ma'am we couldn't find them. We'll rest for a bit and rejoin the search with horses to see if we can find the young master."
The man who reported took off his hat regretfully to which Elizabeth just nodded and sniffed as she hugged David who witnessed everything. She sobbed silently with regular intervals like she's about to have a seizure.
David just stood there letting Elizabeth do whatever while his mind spun as he began to plan for the future.
'And so it begins...'
