The day spent with Tatum at the lake was more than I could have ever asked for. As much as we both wanted to stay there, we knew we had to get back to the pack house as night was slowly setting in. The last thing we wanted was for Pollux to think we had left the pack lands.
Even though I wish I fucking had.
Not to mention, Kara was waiting.
The moment between us in the woods was gone when we stepped foot into the pack house. We were greeted by the sour expression of Pollux, who looked between us as if knowing exactly what had happened. Never in my life had I felt like a schoolgirl who got caught red-handed.
And it only got worse when Kara walked around the corner with her arms crossed over her chest, and a brow raised as she glanced between Tatum and me.
“Take care of things, huh?” she murmured, “at least it brought her back.”
Oh my god, what?!
“I’m going upstairs… you guys—” I gasped as I looked at the three of them. “Have fun with whatever…this is.”
