Calling Kara wasn’t what I had wanted to do. In fact, getting anyone else involved with what I was doing was the last thing I wanted, because it made me look incapable of handling a situation. However, my brother hadn’t been the easiest person to deal with. So backup was what I had to call in. I simply found Kara the most amusing form of backup.
Especially considering she made Pollux squirm.
Taylor became quiet after the conversation between us all in the kitchen. Her eyes shifted hesitantly around the room as she slowly ate the rest of her food. A small wrinkle in between her brows as if her thoughts were more complicated than she would have liked.
