Chapter 17 - Pretend or fool?

Noon is the current time. The hot and slightly arid temperature made Kyle sweat a little, he occasionally smoothed his hair to try to cool off, but that wasn't really the main reason why he started sweating.

Sword lessons, this is the lesson I don't like the most. Even if it was true that acquiring sword skills or magic skills would look cool for a world similar to a game.

Overpowered characters and such, then having some kind of system that sustains their power and then building a harem will make stupid gamer guys drain their wallets to buy some games. Such tricks sometimes make people on the marketing staff rejoice, though in the end the harsh reality will slap them in the face.

But for me personally, sword lessons were a disaster. How do I deal damage if my stats are minus? Magic, sword skills? I don't have a single skill about it.

Where is the points shop? Where to redeem points? Don't MMORPG games have something like that?

Even though Kyle knew his thoughts were pointless, it at least gave him a place to complain.

Ah, damn it, a game concept that can only acquire skills with experience points is really annoying.

Moreover, I don't know what the requirements are for me to get a skill. Because to acquire a skill other than through increasing Lvl and experience points, there is a kind of hidden quest to get it. That was the initial concept I heard.

So I've been trying every way possible, the increase in experience points is what sounds very reasonable, but all I get is the title.

And if my guess is correct, in order to acquire some kind of fighting skill I have to frequently defeat certain monsters or draw a sword. Then it's obvious I can't.

The point is that increasing strength for myself is currently impossible. I have to rely on other people and that's what I want to try by taking Irina to hunt Dungeon monsters, where I have to kill monsters after Irina beats them. Like Last hit or something.

This sword training is useless if in the end I get nothing.

Huff.... I'm starting to think that class lessons are better because I can sleep whenever I want.

But that's what happened to Kyle at the moment. He then took a wooden sword and walked into the arena.

This is a typical one-on-one duel. Kyle's current opponent is from a different class.

Two classes were gathered, one was Kyle's and Irina's class while their opponents were from another class.

Kyle was currently confronted by a black-haired man.

This boy, I remember him well. He was the one who acted strangely while watching Irina's match and he was also the one Matias bullied before.

I don't know how strong or how weak this kid is, I'm sure I will lose. Should I tell the teacher that I gave up?

As Kyle tried to raise his hand to surrender, the child in front of him prepared a stance to attack.

"Now, Start! "The teacher said that.

It didn't take long for the black haired boy to run towards Kyle. The blade slashes and thrusts continued to be aimed at Kyle, striking his legs, arms, stomach, neck and head. But somehow Kyel was able to dodge the barrage of attacks. No, that's not it—

No hit, this kid's attack didn't hit me. I just walked backwards like usual without dodging anything because I really can't, that means this kid didn't hit me at all, all his attacks missed.

What idiot couldn't hit the target when he just walked backwards like usual? I started to suspect, was he on purpose or was he really stupid?

The boy's attacks stopped, his breathing irregular like a fighter in a life and death duel. He continued to take heavy breaths and looked exhausted, sweat dripping down and then one of his eyes narrowed.

"As I expected of you—Excellent dodging skills," the black-haired boy said.

The black haired boy then plunged the wooden sword into the ground and looked straight at Kyle while saying with a tired expression.

"Next, I will definitely hit you. "

This guy is stupid, he really is stupid.

I don't have any skills to fight, you just don't hit me, why do you look so realistic?

Even though I knew it wasn't my doing, for a moment his demeanor was reassuring as if I was avoiding him like a seasoned veteran.

"You, what's your name?" Kyle said that.

"My name is Zen Bariel from the knight class. "

Knight class? You are from the knight class but do you have this level of ability? Don't be kidding, the knight class should be better than the regular class.

This is bad, if the knight class that can fight monsters is weaker than me, in the future, this country will never be able to win against any main quest. This is the worst, I hope only this stupid kid is in the knight class.

When Kyle fell silent, Zen got up again and took his wooden sword. He is ready to fight.

"As I expected, against a strong person like you I don't stand a chance," Zen said that.

"It's just how you feel," I replied.

Like before, Zen strikes again. He slashed and swung his sword at Kyle, Kyle walked back and forth but this time he tried to slash his sword once, and what happened?

SLAH!!

What!!!! My wooden sword just touched his sword and he was thrown, how could that be?

For some reason I started to think that the stats I had were actually a trick, but I quickly recalled that it was real because I had tried it on monsters and didn't deal any damage at all.

In other words, it was likely that this kid called Zen was faking it. But what do you do? I have to admit the acting was amazing it felt real.

The thrown Zen fell to the ground. He then spat out the blood to the side then wiped it with his hand.

Zen's hands trembled like a man without strength. Kyle saw that and narrowed her eyes feeling strange.

Zen then stood up slowly with the wooden sword supporting his body, he then said back in a low voice.

"It's still not over. "

"You have reached your limit, stop this match. "

"No, it's not over yet!! " Zen shouted.

Blood started pouring out of Zen's head, it was like a pretty severe wound. With narrowed eyes and occasional coughing up blood, he seemed to be at the end of his life.

A knight who fought the final boss, full of wounds began to bounce back and challenge again. The last effort and the last fight until finally the knight will die as the hero's foothold. Or that's what it looks like now.

This stupid kid, I won't throw away the Aprissal skill just for a kid like him.

I will give up this time. I don't know how long this duel will last, so I'll give up.

"I give up, that person will never stop until death if I don't give up. "

Kyla raised her hand and the teacher allowed it.

When it was all over, Kyle could hear the faint click of her tongue of disappointment.

"Chk!!"
