"Thank you Tara", said Kila, "Let's meet the boy". A man and a boy came in the room. The boy came up and say, "Hello, my name is Kal. Nice to meet you. I hope we get along".
"So what are your powers." Mex asked with a condescending tone. "I haven't learned magic yet.", Kal replied. "Nice to meet you too, Kal", Kila said while looking at Mex with a bit of anger. "Can you fight?", Tela asked. "Yes, I can", Kal replied. "We protect the people of the city what can you do without magic. Go back home and learn magic first.", Mex said to Kal.
"Who do you think you are to say that?", Jor asked. "I am an heir of Yuda children of two mages of Krypton who do you think you are to ask me that?", Mex ask while challenging Jor. "Who am I? I knew hiding our identities was a mistake. I am Jor El the heir of Rao leader of the mages of Krypton. I sealed Cythonna.", Jor replied. Everybody look at Mex and with pity after all the man just accepted his challenge. Mex started sweating although he did not know the identity of the mage who sealed Cythonna but he had heard of his powers from his parents.
"Father let me fight. He insulted me" Kal ask his father. Mex hoped that Jor will say accept Kal's request. "Okay, if you want but I won't interfere unless a life is threatened." said Jor. "Thank you father", Kal replied. Mex become overjoyed when he heard the conversation.
Kal takes out his sword and stay in a battle position. Mex took out his glaive and point it at Kal. Kal could feel the gravity exert by Rex but he use the telekinetic technique taught by his parents. Mex look at Kal and and was shocked that Kal was immune to his gravity. Kal ran at him but and object hit him in the rib and Kal was sent flying.
Kal jumps up and runs at Mex again and Mex sends another object at him but he stops and cut it and it falls to the ground. Kal realizing the weakness of Mex runs at him again. He slash his sword at Mex but Mex blocks it with his Glaive. Mex stab his glaive but Kal dodge it and kicks him. Kal slash at Mex again but he felthis sword getting heavier. "I don't just pull. I can also put gravity at things I use before."
Mex then kicks Kal's sword out but Kal but Kal flys and kick him in the face. Unlike the burly teenager Mex is a strong and powerful a mage who will survive a truck thrown at him so he does not get knocked out from Kal's kick. Kal immediately slash at Mex which Mex blocks easily.
"Who do you think will win", Kila ask Tela. "It is probably Mex who will win considering the experience." Tela replied. After all they had all fought dangerous foes in Krypton.
Kal kicks Mex's glaive but instead of pushing his foe he was pushed instead. Mex then slash his glaive and said, "You are talented but inexperienced". He stabbed again but Kal started falling backwards.
Kila was shocked and ask, " What happened?". "He use Mex's gravity to pull himself from the glaive.", Tela replied. 'I guess he is not as inexperienced as we thought.', Tela thought.
Kal cut the object and flys at Mex to everyone's shock he but it wasn't good enough to beat Mex. Mex dodge and another object comes at Kal which he cut in two and flys up. He swoops down and slash at Mex but threw his glaive at him which he dodge and the glaive hit the ceiling. Kal flys down ready to beat Mex but then Mex started to reflect the lights shown at him toward Kal without hurting him. Kal stopped midway and gets ready to swoop down again but the hilt of the glaive hit his head. The glaive flew back to Mex. Kal falls down and fainted.
Kal wakes up and sees the team looking at him. "You are a good fighter.", Mex complimented. "Thank you" Kal replied dejectedly. "Don't feel so bad Kal my brother's a seasoned fighter. I was surprised you could last that long." Rex said to Kal.
"Okay, it's time for your magic lesson." Sal said while coming in the room. "Pleasure to meet you again Kal.", Sal greet Kal. "Pleasure to meet you too, Sir", Kal greeted back.
"Envision fire in your hands and feel the heat of the sun Kal.", Sal said to Kal. Kal was puzzled by it because they were in a room. "What do you mean sir? We are in a room." Kal said in a questioning tone. "Kal we are in a room but all of Krypton feels heat because of the sun so feel it." Sal replied. Kal envisioned fire in his hands and it lit on fire but it did not hurt him at all. Kal panicked and shakes his hands vigorously. Fire shoots out of his hands but before it could touch anything Sal said a few words and it vanished.
