I than wake up to notifications from both the group chat and Kada, the message from the group chat was just goofy memes being sent around and the one from Kada was a good morning text.
I also wish her good morning too and get onto my usual morning routine which is showering, eating, studying new game strategies, and finally hopping on the game.
At this point it's getting closer to noon so I hit up all of my friends who play but all of them are busy so I have one and only option, Kada;-;
So I do end up texting Kada and she immediately reply's and says quote on quote "OF COURSE!!!!:D"
I add her and invite her to a squad and she joins, her voice is light and girly which is pretty cute not gonna lie but that doesn't mean I have interest in her! anyways, we hop into a match both making sure are status is anonymous and we're popping off.
She has 10 kills so far with only 3 minutes in and I have around 7 and all I can think about is how amazing her skill is, the main reason it's impressive is because we're in the battle royal feature of the game and dropping at the most populated place in the game which half of the lobby goes to(full lobby is exactly 150 players).
if I truly want to surpass her I'm gonna have to closely observe her play style and train my skills to mirror hers before I surpass her.
"Hey LuLu you're slackinggg!" Kada says, so I get back on my game and end the match off with 18 kills nearly beating Kada's 20.
After the match Kada asks me a question,
"Quick question LuLu, might be a stupid one but have you ever actually played a tournament?" I sigh at the question and let her know I have and she than asks,
"Which Tournaments?" - Kada.
"Well whatever tournaments pop up of course." I say.
"Sigh, this is why you aren't number 1, start signing up for pro and global tournaments only. Going against just any skill level won't do you any good on taking my spot." - Kada.
"Why are you trying to help me increase my skill to take YOUR spot?" I ask with curiosity, Kada than takes a long pause and than informs me that she doesn't really care to much for her rank and I was about to ask why until she said "and I have my own personal reasons for that:)"
So I just leave it at that, we than play 12 more matches before both agreeing to hop off, we won 75% of the matches which is pretty nice. Kada than sends me 2 links, one for the tourneys and one for a elite gaming camp but before I could even look into either she informs me a global tournament starts in 4 weeks, so if I wanna go to a camp now would be the best time.
I click the gaming camp link and it looks pretty nice and they also have history with pros so going to them wouldn't be bad to increase my skills AND HOLY I JUST NOTICED THE CAMPUS IS BIG! THE CAMPUS LOOKS LIKE 3 HOTEL RESORTS LONG.
After seeing that i immediately book my stay for 3 weeks which will cost me 22,000??? Luckily I have 26,000 in earnings but that's a good chunk of my money gone:(
I than ask Kada if she will be going and she just replies with a smiley face so I'll take that as a yes, I go to ask my parents they let me know it's fine on their end and they'll help with reservations and all that, I inform my friends and they wish me the best of luck, Trey vouches to come along surprisingly and since his family has a nice amount of money he books too but only for 2 weeks.
So for the next few hours I packed, made reservations, and did everything I had to for the long trip ahead of me, the camp is based in Los Angeles so this will indeed be a journey, I go to sleep early that night though since the flight is at 5 am and I'll also be meeting Trey there.
