A little smile of happiness played on the pink lips of the maiden as she read the letter that had arrived this afternoon from her residence. The maid serving her tea wondered what made her mistress smile like that. Ever since the girl had entered in the Heathenne mansion, there wasn't a single time when she smiled so contently and the maid wouldn't even blame the former for that. The circumstances prevented her mistress from doing so.
