Somewhere amongst the desert in Arizona, a small van was heading towards the Grand Canyon with two people residing inside.
"Are you sure we won't get in trouble for this? There was an announcement to stay away," the man that was driving asked with worry in his voice.
"Tom, I already told you the site should be empty by now. The people deserve to know what kind of carnage is going on," the woman said from the passenger seat.
"But Val, what if there are still more of those things there? We're not strong enough to handle that," Tom added with his worry.
"You do know reporting is a dangerous job, right?" Val said as she continued.
"There shouldn't be anymore. I've been told the site is clear, so all we have to do is just film what happened."
"Alright, if you say so," Tom sighed as he saw the Grand Canyon approaching.
"Trust me, Tom, once we get the footage, we should get a lot more viewers to our channel for the exclusive. Everyone else is too scared right to get the footage we're about to get," Val said with a devious smile on her face. Seeing this, Tom just had a weird expression and shook his head.
As they pulled closer to the Grand Canyon, they saw bodies littered on the floor for miles and miles ahead of them.
Tom stopped the car, and he and Val got out to look at things more closely.
Tom had seen enough before he turned back to the van and pulled out his camera and a few drones to scour the area.
"I know I said this place should be empty but use those drones to make sure we're definitely in the clear," Val said as she turned back towards Tom.
Tom set up the drones without hesitation and put on some visual glasses that allowed him to see what the drones were seeing. After a few more minutes, he released one drone into the air to scour the area for any activity.
After a few minutes, Val heard Tom make an audible gasp.
"What is it?" Val asked, walking next to Tom.
"Holy shit, you better see this," Tom said as he took the glasses off and handed them to Val.
Val didn't react. She knew Tom had the tendency to overreact sometimes, so she leisurely grabbed the glasses and put them on her face, and within a second, her mouth dropped open.
"What the fuck? What is he doing here? Who is that, that he's fighting?" Val said with a trembling voice.
"We need to go, NOW." Tom urged as he was about to pack everything back in the van.
"Wait, no! They haven't noticed us yet. If we can live stream some footage, maybe someone can shed light on who he is fighting," Val said as she took the glasses off, staring in the direction the fight was happening.
"I don't like that idea. What if he ends up seeing us? We're as good as dead," Tom said with more worry in his voice.
"Don't worry, the media will have our side. Now grow some balls, and come on!" Val said with a fierce look in her eye.
Meanwhile, a few minutes earlier...
"Son? What the fuck is he talking about?" Mystic asked, looking at everyone with a confused look.
"Hey, Abyssal, are you alright? We're not the bad guys here, you know," Moon said with a shaky voice.
"Is Duggar going to be alright?" Nina worried as she looked at Duggar lying unconscious on the floor.
"SHUT UP!" Abyssal grunted as he stared at everyone.
"If you want to make it out of here to see another day, I suggest you listen to what I say VERY CAREFULLY,"
"I just need 'NightFall' here, and the rest of you stay out of my way."
Everyone turned to look at Wayne with curious expressions, they could see visible anger on his face.
"What the fuck is going on?" everybody wondered as they could see there was some animosity going on.
"So, I see you have your powers," Abyssal said with a slight smile toward Wayne.
"No thanks to you," Wayne said through gritted teeth.
"Oh, don't be like that. When joining the Circle, I had to make... choices and if-"
"I don't give a shit!" Wayne said while streams of tears poured down his face from the amount of pent-up anger towards his father, along with the memory of his sister and mother.
"If you came here for me to kill you slowly, I would gladly accept that as a parting gift," Wayne said coldly as he activated [Abyssal Spirit], making a black aura appeared around his body.
"You think you can kill me? Let's see about that," Abyssal said with a slight chuckle, and, raising his hand forward, he beckoned Wayne to come at him.
Wayne lept from his position, going for an uppercut. Abyssal was slightly shocked at Wayne's speed as he narrowly dodged the uppercut and threw out his leg to do a side kick onto Wayne's ribs, sending him flying into a pile of rocks.
"Guys, I think we need to give them space," Rocky said. She knew this would be hectic, so she gathered everyone on a rock plateau she had created and took them a few meters away from the battle.
Wayne grabbed the edges of the rock to pull himself up, and he smiled. He then activated [Dark Dome]. A pitch-black barrier encased him and Abyssal. Abyssal didn't look worried but more curious about what was going on.
As soon as the dome fully closed, Wayne activated [Death Smoke] and [Abyssal Clone] and ran straight towards Abyssal.
Abyssal didn't know what to expect from the dome Wayne created, but he was lost in awe at how strong Wayne had gotten already to withstand the kick he had given him earlier.
"I may have to go all out.." Abyssal mumbled as the dome closed above his head. When that happened, he was left speechless, he couldn't see, hear, or smell anything. Even lifting his hands in front of his face, he couldn't even see his fingers. A few seconds later, he felt his body jolt from an impact causing him to fly in the air and eventually get slammed into the ground from another impact.
"What the fuck is this?!" Abyssal wondered as he couldn't even feel pain, he knew he was getting attacked, but there was no way for him to defend himself. It was like beating up a blind cripple that couldn't do anything back but take it.
After a few moments of getting thrashed around, he had enough. Once he could guess he was on solid ground, he sunk into the floor, moving outside the dome and rising from the shadows. He quickly checked his condition and instantly noticed some broken ribs, and his clothes, along with some exposed skin, seemed to be singed off by a chemical burn.
"This fucking kid."
Wayne saw that Abyssal was able to get out of the dome, so he deactivated his [Dark Dome] ability, but before he did that, he noticed he needed energy, and quickly as his fatigue hit him hard after his initial adrenaline had already worn off. There were two bodies and five beasts in his dome, so he quickly let Helgor eat the two bodies and waited to see where Abyssal went.
When the dome went down, Wayne smiled, looking at Abyssal's condition.
"I would wipe that smirk off your face. It's my turn," Abyssal said as he activated his ability making ten clones of himself.
They quickly surrounded Wayne leaving no gap for him to go anywhere.
Rocky and the others looked at the fight and were surprised Wayne was giving Abyssal a challenge, but the predicament he was in now didn't seem too favorable for Wayne.
"This is ridiculous; how is he supposed to defend himself with all of his clones? I heard his clones are just as powerful, and they are all tangible," Sun said as he looked at the others to see if anyone had any answers.
"If we interfere, we will end up dead," Rocky said as her eyes were glued to the fight.
"If there is an opening where we can help Wayne would you guys want to take it?" Rocky asked after a few seconds of silence.
Everyone looked at each other and then back to Rocky, where they nodded their heads yes.
"It's what Duggar would want," Nina said as she looked at Duggar, who was still unconscious.
"Alright, well, we have to come up with a plan because we will most likely have one shot at this, and we will have to make it count," Rocky said as she started devising a possible plan.
Wayne seeing the clones surrounding him, chuckled nervously at the scene.
He took out his twin sabers and gave them to his clone as he pulled out his other weapon, the rope dart.
"Didn't think I would get battle experience with this so soon," Wayne said as he was getting ready to be on the defensive.
