As Wayne and the others were checking the phenomenon about the beast, a ship was hovering in space, idly waiting.
Captain Raku was standing in a large meeting room with two other Rek'Nee, there was an orb embedded in the floor that displayed a three-dimensional figure and information that spread across that room along the bare metallic walls.
"So far, the 14 Shebadoo have been reporting back every night as ordered after laying their eggs. The closest one I can see becoming full term is in three weeks, and that one is located here," a feminine Rek'Nee said as a hologram of earth zoomed into a cave in the Grand Canyon.
"Good job Ren, collecting these species was your idea, and seeing them into fruition and how you handled them so far, well, let's just say it's beyond my expectations," Captain Raku said as he looked at the other Rek'Nee to begin his report.
"How are the humans doing so far, Damoo?"
The hologram changed into some statistics from all over the globe.
"Yes, the humans, it seems to be a disparity between them in being able to handle these things on their own. This region, that's where the Quasi was hatched," the image switched to the Quasi, who resembled a Wyvern but with a shorter snout and larger teeth.
"They've managed to kill over four thousand of the humans before two humans came and killed all 33 Quasi's that were there," The image switched again to show Simon and Beast and some footage of their battle with the beast.
"So the beast is doing their job, killing off the weak ones. I'm just glad it's not a planet full of weak ones," Raku said as he looked at the footage.
"Yes, so far, they've eradicated sixty percent of the beasts, but we know with Ren's work, this will change."
"You've said there's a feud between the humans, how is that going?" Raku asked.
"Well, from what we can tell, one side is definitely stronger than the other, but on this side, they have more people with abilities, it still seems that they're ignorant to our presence, they think this some doing of the other party," Damoo said that last part with a chuckle.
"HAHAHAHA, luckily, we just need them to be strong, not smart," Raku said as he slapped his knee at the ignorance of the humans.
Damoo smiled that he was able to make his captain pleased.
"Alright, well, it sounds like phase three will begin after all the Shebadoo is born," Raku said as he looked at Rene for confirmation.
"Yes, sir, the men are ready to head out even, they are quite anxious as it's been a while, since the last planet couldn't survive even a week of phase two."
"Good, that's what I like to hear, if there's nothing left to be said, this meeting is over."
"I have something to say," Damoo said before Raku could look away.
"Or rather ask, Phase four hasn't been used in a few centuries with our travels, do you think they can do it?"
Raku just looked at him with a sadistic smile that got bigger and bigger by the second.
"Don't get my hopes up Damoo, I'll kill you for that," he said with the smile still on his face and his hands twitching. He left the room, leaving the question unanswered, and headed for his usual post, where the quietness of space lulls him into a calm state.
Meanwhile, Ren returned to her lab to input the data she received from the Shebadoo earlier. After a few moments, she arrived at her lab, where tubes were filled with different colored liquids were on the table, and at the center was a computer hologram to test all the experiments they input, making their hypotheses come to life and seeing what works best with the correct material.
There was a male Rek'Nee who was staring at a tablet, not noticing Ren walk in.
"Hey Kang, what's got you wrapped up over there, did something happen?"
Kang got startled as he snapped out of his stupor and looked at Ren.
"Something is happening for sure," Kang said as he flipped the tablet, showing Duggar and his team heading into the waterfall where the Shebadoo was.
"It's too early! That one is only at thirty percent," She said as she snatched the tablet out of Kang's hands and started looking up information on that Shebadoo.
Ren's frown deepened when she saw the information, "She's my third best producer," She mumbled to herself.
She carefully watched the waterfall to see if anything would happen, and after a few minutes, she saw the few that went in were running out with the Shebadoo jumping out from the cave. She quickly saw that one of the humans had the egg, and she clenched her fist and jaw in anger.
"How dare that filthy thing touch my pets!" she yelled at the tablet.
A moment later, she saw the Shebadoo dying and knew the eggs would hatch prematurely she smiled, "I hope they eat your bones," she thought as all the hatchlings poured out the waterfall.
"HAHA, yes, run! Weaklings!" she cackled as she saw Duggar and the others fly away, but she quickly halted as she saw one person left behind, she stared at the figure for a while until he disappeared in the black smoke, all she could see was dark fire spreading everywhere.
After it was over, she put the tablet down in disgust and looked at Kang.
"Tell the captain what happened," she said as she walked off to her table, where she left her notes to continue.
Kang quickly ran to the computer sending a message to the head of the ship.
A few moments later, a member at the head of the ship received the message telepathically from the sphere, and he went to Captain Raku's side, who was standing at the front staring outside into space.
"What is it?" He coldly asked.
"Sir, it seems that one of the Shebadoo has been killed prematurely with their kin as well," he said with his head lowered.
"Ahh, it seems they are quick to it, this planet might actually be fun. Prepare the people for Phase three," The commander said with a menacing smile.
