*Back to the start of the mission*
"Hey Rose, I'm going to set up camp while Grim goes to see if Higby needs help."
"No problem, Radio. I'm just going to use the little girl's room, don't wait up for me."
Rose was a red-haired woman who seemed to be in her late thirties with a busty figure wearing a tight red shirt with jeans.
When Rose walked deep enough in the forest, she reached inside her shoe and pulled out a small device with a single button. She tapped the button a few times and then headed back to the camp to see if everybody was done.
She reached her tent with Radio and Grim and talked to them about the mission for a few minutes before they decided to call it a night and go to sleep. Rose stayed awake, pretending to sleep while she waited for the others to sleep.
Amidst the night, Rose got up and left the tent to head by the road, she pulled out a small light that she carried in her bra and signaled people on the road to her location. The vans stopped a few meters away from the camp, twenty people emptied onto the road around her, and a familiar face came up to Rose.
"Hey Rose, the men are ready for their task," Lucid said as she stepped in front of her.
"That's fine, you just need to hurry and quietly do your thing. I don't know if anyone is a light sleeper."
Lucid took her warning and proceeded to head out to the tents, she went to the tent Rose was staying in first and went to Grim and Radio, dropping dust on both of them, activating her ability.
[Hypnos Dreams]
The ability allowed the men to move their bodies without worrying about waking them up. She then went to the other tent with Wayne, Celeste, and Arctic and did the same, allowing the men to gather them all and tie them to a single tree off in the distance.
She tried to get to Higby, but his tent didn't have an entrance, it was just a solid white metal structure in a tent formation. She didn't worry about it too much. Rose said she could have a use for him if things went awry.
Once by the tree, Lucid sat in front of them and activated another one of her abilities.
[Morpheus Chamber]
She could slip into their dreams and manipulate them to an extent, she can do this for twelve hours before needing to rest herself.
While Lucid was handling things with the 'security', she looked at the cargo in the back to see if she knew what it was.
"Have any idea what it is?" One of her men came beside her and asked.
"No, but that's nothing for us to worry about. With the price this job was paying, this should be triple the price."
"Excellent! With that being said, Rod says he is ready."
"Well, what is he waiting for? Bring him over here," She demanded. The soldier left to come back with a fairly thin man, but his power of strength could compete with most class A-tiered people as well as some sidekicks.
When she gestured for him to get on with it, he went to the container and tried to deadlift it, but to his surprise, the container wouldn't budge. He tried for several minutes. Sweat smeared on his forehead, and veins began popping on the side of his neck as he tried to lift the container, but to no avail. It didn't budge.
Rose was more than disappointed at the performance and ordered him to stop embarrassing himself and get out of her sight with a look of disdain on her face.
She didn't have a plan ahead of not getting the container off, and now she had to think of another one quickly.
She looked back towards Higby's tent for a few moments and looked at the man next to her.
"Go get the other men to gather around there," she said as she pointed to Higby's tent, and she continued, "We're going to have a chat with Mr.Higby." She said with a stern face staring at the tent.
When all the men were gathered, she slowly approached, looking at all of them as she stood in front of Higby's tent.
"Who here can infiltrate this?" She finally said, pointing to the tent.
Several hands went up as they thought it was an easy task and would get a chance to be in the good graces of Rose.
"You." She pointed to one man in the front, and as he was called out, he hurriedly ran up to the tent and sparked his hands with electricity, but as he put his hands on it, the electricity backfired and discharged towards himself, sending him flying in the distance.
A few men were shocked as they didn't expect this, while others laughed at the man's embarrassment.
Rose tried her best not to get frustrated as her men were failing her. The only one she could count on was Lucid to do her job correctly.
She gestured for another to come up, and he ultimately failed.
"The next one to come up and fails is going to die on the spot!" Rose said with gritted teeth.
After some silence, a man walked up to the tent, and as he approached, his hands turned into claws, and he started slashing at the ground next to the tent, making a hole that went deeper and deeper every second.
After some moments, some rustling could be heard inside the tent till eventually, Higby was sent out from the hole with the man who retrieved him crawling out behind him shortly after.
Higby landed on the floor and frantically crawled around, trying to gather what was happening. He looked over and saw Lucid sitting in front of a tree that held Wayne and the others, he then looked at Rose and her men slowly surrounding him.
"What are you doing?!" He exclaimed
"This would go over really easy if you can tell us how to get the containers off," Rose said with a seductive tone walking to Higby slowly.
"I-I- I can't."
"And why is that?"
"It needs biometrics from the buyer for security reasons."
As Higby said that, Rose rolled her eyes and kicked Higby to the side out of frustration.
"Why do you guys have to make it so tough? I didn't want to have to take the slow-ass truck, but it seems to be the only option," Rose said as she was about to walk away with the men's captain and head to the truck and leave.
"WAIT!"
Rose heard his plea but just continued walking, ignoring his plea.
"YOU NEED ME! THE TRUCK NEEDS CODES!"
Rose stopped in her tracks and turned back to look at Higby and then the captain, giving him a silent nod to see if his claims were true.
The captain went ahead to the truck and opened the door to see there was no key ignition but a screen panel on the dash that lit up when he opened the door. On the panel, it had a screen displaying a number grid explaining it needed a code.
The captain's eyebrows furrowed as he left the truck and explained the bad news to Rose.
"Can nothing go right with you stupid men!?" Rose shouted as she grew more irate. This was supposed to be a quick grab-and-go.
She rushed over to Higby and used her [Rose Vine] to wrap around his torso, slowly constricting him and making the thorns penetrate his skin.
"What is the code?!"
Higby stayed silent and endured the pain. Rose seeing this, snapped and went on a rampage, smashing him around the campground and pelting Higby with thorns for the next two hours until she grew tired.
Higby's condition was nothing short of fatal, but Rose got one of the men to heal him enough to the point where he could talk.
----------
*Present Time*
"What's the fucking codes for the truck, old man!?"
Before he could answer, Rose hit him across the face as she continued.
"I don't have time for your games!"
