When I woke up from my nap, it was night. I could tell that I had been sleeping for more than a day. I held my head as I sat up, groaning. Surprisingly...my nightmare was different than before...it had Oliver in it. He'd cry and beg on his knees for me to stay with him. He'd yell and scream...he'd compliment me and then start insulting and threatening me for abandoning him. For not hearing him out. Even when I woke up, I heard his voice in my head. The sight of the devastated expression that he wore seemed to haunt me. It was burned into my mind. I gripped my hair tightly before flinching. Even my hair...he had cut it. I found myself not being able to touch it. I couldn't help but to regret not listening to him. Why did he lie to me? Why was he working in cahoots with Mistress? Maybe he was forced to do all of that? No...if anything Mistress seemed to be the one who was being forced.
The way he hit her...what would he do if I hadn't called out his name? Would she even be alive? Now that I was gone, did he kill her anyway? What could he have done to me if I hadn't immediately left? I bit down on my thumbnail nervously before letting out a deep exhale. I needed to get some fresh air. I put on some clean yet old clothes and left the Inn that I was in. I walked out and to the wooded area outside of the kingdom, glancing over at the castle on top of the mountain. I had never been so close to my goal before. I had to deal with this delicately and cleverly. I looked back in front of me and continued to walk.
Before planning anything, I needed to get rid of any unnecessary thoughts and emotions. I froze as a savory yet sweet scent filled the air. It wasn't a normal scent though...it felt as if it was a rope pulling me closer towards whatever it was...it was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I vaguely remembered the scent from somewhere but I couldn't put my finger on it. My stomach growled and my throat dried up. Something was off but my mind was too clouded to realize. I quickly fell into a trance and mindlessly, followed the smell. I stopped when I heard the sound of quiet gasps and groans of pain. I looked down and saw what seemed to be a man. Was it a man? My eyesight was a bit blurry in my dazed a state. I pinched myself, trying to snap out of it but it wasn't very helpful.
"A-Are you alright?" I asked as I crouched down in front of them. I couldn't make out any distinct features but I quickly realized that this is where the smell was coming from. I could tell that my eyes were glowing because of the way the person's blurry face lit up despite it being midnight.
"What does it look-" The person was cut off as they looked up to see my glowing eyes. My cheeks were dusted pink and my eyes were very noticeably glossed over. Their voice was on the deeper side. It was a shock to my ears but at the moment is sounded heavenly. I wasn't supposed to allow anyone to discover my identity, right? Why wasn't I moving? I slowly lowered myself to the ground, resting on my knees.
"I uhm-...I-...God you smell so good..." I whispered out as I leaned in close to them a little bit, not being able to help myself. Seriously what was wrong with me? I closed my eyes for a moment as I slightly regained control of myself. This strong scent was as pleasant as it was agonizing. I was quickly becoming dizzy.
"W-What?" The deep voiced person asked in shock and confusion. I furrowed my eyebrows as I held my head.
"Im sorry..Im not feeling well it seems.." I mumbled, deciding to blame it on the fact that I got hit on the head with a metal pole days before. At this point being near the scent was starting to become overwhelming and painful. I couldn't find it in myself to move away though. The man slowly came to some kind of realization.
"Ah...you are one of 'those' aren't you?" They asked softly as they relaxed a bit. I flinched. Had I been figured out? Before I could respond, I was pulled forward to them. My hands rested on their chest and my eyes were filled with desire. I could now tell for sure that this was a man. At this point it was a challenge to keep myself from drooling. This...could be dangerous for the both of us. I tried to push away from him and stand but there didn't seem to be any strength in my arms or legs.
"Hybrids drink blood from vampires as well, right? You can go ahead. I assume that you are a new one." He mumbled out. A hybrid? Vampire? I would be lying if i said that I wasn't very confused but I wasn't able to focus on it for too long. Losing control, all of my teeth seemed to sharpen at once, which was unlike a vampire who only sharpened their fangs. The man seemed to realize this too since his body stiffened in response but it was already too late. I dug my teeth into his exposed neck, causing him to hiss loudly and grip onto my shirt.
My eyes fluttered closed as a sweet liquid began to flow into my mouth. The only things that I was able to hear was the sound of the other's loud, irregular heartbeat, and his heavy breathing. Everything else sounded muffled as I drunk thirstily. I found myself moving even closer, so close that his legs were now draped over my thighs. This felt like heaven. I allowed my hands to slowly slip down his body as one of his hands went to hold the back of my neck. I could hear small noises of pain and pleasure bubble out of his throat which only encouraged me to continue. It didn't take long for this to become heated. I pulled away from his neck to catch my breath but was pulled into a kiss instead. Strangely enough...I didn't mind it. Though I was inexperienced with this kind of thing, I began to kiss him back, allowing him to get a taste of his own blood.
When I pulled away again, he immediately moved to bite into my neck. I let out a shocked gasp as I gripped on to his hair so tightly that my knuckles began to turn white. My eyes began to glaze over again. Wait no...I had to snap out of it. Doing this type of thing with a stranger wasn't something that I was interested in doing. Not only that but if I inhaled this scent for any longer, I'd devour him. Yes, my village had been destroyed and my father was dead, but I couldn't break the oath. I bit down on my bottom lip in order to keep in any sounds of pleasure as my hand slowly slipped up his thigh, causing him to let out a muffled groan. I knew that I had to snap out of it. It was only when his hands found my hips when I was able to muster up the strength and will to push away from him. I quickly got on my feet, looking down at the other's messy and honestly erotic looking appearance. His hair was messy from my harsh tugging, his face was flushed with blood dripping from his neck and the corner of his mouth, and his legs were spread in a way that made it difficult for me not to dig my teeth into them. It was at times like these where I was relieved to be born as a female. Otherwise, I wouldn't have even an ounce of self control. I looked up at the sky only to see a bright full moon staring back down at me and my eyes widened. No...the oath...did I break it? I had a taste of another beings blood, yes, but it wasn't as if I ate him right? I ran a hand through my hair as I began to panic. This wasn't good...anyone who broke the oath was known for developing a terrible fate. A curse. The stranger seemed to notice my sudden panic and tilted his head in confusion.
"Is...everything alright?" He asked in a breathless manner that nearly caused my knees to buckle. Was this the male version of a temptress? Now that my vision was no longer blurry, I could see his features clearly. He had dark red eyes that almost seemed to glow brighter than my own and amethyst colored hair. He wore a white button up shirt that was halfway unbuttoned and hanging from a single shoulder, with tight leather pants. He was a nobel that was for sure. My eyes wandered down his chest and stomach, liking the sight of his muscles, before they landed on his not so discreet 'problem'. I cleared my throat and looked away, a light tint of pink covering my cheeks.
"No..nothing is alright. Everything is all screwed up!" I said, trying hard to replace my arousal with annoyance and anger. I glanced back over and his eyes nearly pierced through me. A vampire's eyes only turned red when they were either thirsty, using their abilities, or feeling some kind of intense emotion. Lust for example. I bit down on my lip a little bit. I had only read about these types of things in books before. He seemed a bit familiar but I shrugged it off. He was a vampire so he had to be someone of importance.
"Is there anything that I could do to help?" He asked in desperate manner as he struggled to stand up, leaning against the tree for support. That's when I go an idea. It would be bad if the other was to tell anyone about this.
"....Yes actually. The best thing that you could do for me is forget. Im...sorry for this." I mumbled out softly. Before he could respond, I knocked him unconscious, using my magic to numb any pain that he may have felt.
