The group that used to be large could now be considered a small squad. Ryan came back in the morning and asked everyone to return to his soul as it was the safest option available to them.
Ryan didn't worry about the moles informing the invaders about Elijah because he kept his eye on them most of the time so they couldn't have reported anything dangerous to them.
Right now he was the target of the invaders after announcing that he was the protector but that's what he wanted. Currently, Elijah was the king in the game of chess. The game ends if he dies.
There was one thing Ryan didn't know and it would be really important is that Elijah didn't have a formal ceremony as the protector so he wasn't officially a protector in the first place. So if Elijah dies the planet will not perish but surely there would be consequences bad enough to wreak havoc.
