Jason could not believe that his miscalculation had just landed him in a situation that made him feel so petty and inadequate. It had never occurred to him that he would spend his Friday in such a distraught state as he then felt. Upon getting his bakkie roaring, he drove straight to his house with the hope of finding Delia but he discovered that the educationist wife together with his son, Roy, were nowhere to be seen. Their maid had since departed unceremoniously and was not likely to be seen again given the nature of her immoral undertaking with her boss's hubby. It did not need one to be a rocket scientist or an oracle to tell that all her prudence, moral values, and anything else that fell under the chunk of virtue had since been thrown into the trash bin. He locked all doors and the gate before driving to an unknown destination.
