The whole compound was all sirens. All that could be seen in the atmosphere is smoke with consuming flames devouring the main office. With the fire brigade arriving late, nothing including the paper staple could be saved. The tables, chairs, couches, drawers, copiers, printers, and all the computers in the 3 adjoined offices were then burnt to ashes. All that could be retrieved after the firefighters' late victory was the debris and sheet metal casing of the state-of-the electronic gadgets.
"Go go go" one of the firefighters had shouted as they rushed in the direction of the fuel point where two graders were all ablaze.
Like the office furniture and equipment, nothing much, save for steel rims, could be salvaged by the breakers. It was safe to declare the torched Graders write-offs.
