They had had a blast of a church service and Delia had to rush to the headmistress's residence to honour a long-made baby shower invitation she had forgotten about. She had messaged a reminder whilst they were in church and she had confirmed her availability. Jason understood and knew what it meant to be part of such contemporary ladies only rituals. Attending others' baby showers or kitchen parties would not only be a token of cooperation but also a default invitation to them. Should one host such events, the support and participation of others often came under the pretext of returning the favour. Many a time when her housemaid would be off and needed to go where her kid would be a misfit, Jilian would entrust her neighbour's ever-present nan with Roy's custody.
