It was already late into the night, the entire pack were probably asleep but a particular room light would still be on for a considerable amount of time that night.
The alpha of this said pack could be seen pacing around lost in thought, this had become a normal sighting since the day the alpha of the superior night pack came back with a strange woman.
There was a knock on the alpha's door which proceeded to open soon immediately after, the person who walked in was one of the few who could occupy the same room as the alpha without consequences.
"How is she?" Nolan asked knowing well who had just walked in, "Do you prefer I tell you the good news or the bad news my lord?" Hilda answered.
"I just want to know how she's doing, nothing else matters." Nolan said recalling the horrific sight of the last time he went to visit his mate, Avyanna.
