Chapter 13 - She Might Have Met A Werewolf

All the way, Cyril didn't say anything, and Aurora always peeked at him as if there was something strange sitting in the car, "Why are you so quiet today?"

"I'll keep the ring for you for now, and when you figure it out, come get it anytime," Cyril said.

Then they fell silent again, and Aurora thought over and over again: was she not charming enough? But when they were together, Cyril was clearly in love, was he like that with everyone?

"There is no need to go further in our relationship. As for the cooperation later, you don't need to worry, what should be yours, a share will not be missing."

"Alright, anyway, I only announced the engagement to the media, there was no mention of details. I can't wait for this! The crazier the speculation out there, the better for Wrisky Corp." Aurora spoke in a light tone, revealing a satisfied smile.

After dropping Cyril back at Sean Family, she drove straight to Zero Bar.

Here the unrestrained revelry is completely different from the mechanical world outside. There are crazy young people everywhere, swaying on the dance floor with colorful wine, and the bandstand is filled with bobbing heads, wrapping their arms around each other as strangers and dancing enthusiastically together.

The bartender recognized her right away and greeted her warmly before she even sat down, "Hi! It's been a long time!"

She took the wine that was handed to her, "Yeah, so long. Aren't Helen and Ina here?"

"They're getting ready backstage, and the next song happens to be their track."

She tilted her head and took a sip of the wine, which was slightly bitter in the mouth and sweetened after a few moments. During the break between band changes, the crowd in the center dispersed. She leaned on the backrest, propped up chin seriously with one hand, waiting for Helen sisters to take the stage.

Ina happened to see her when she came on stage to adjust the microphone, then raised her hand to say hello.

"Sis, it's Aurora!" she elbowed Helen, who was carrying the guitar.

Helen and Ina are twin sisters. Despite they have similar looks, their personalities are very different, and they can usually be distinguished at a glance from their costumes.

Ina tossed her high ponytail at her sides, tossing her drumsticks in the air and catching them perfectly, hitting them powerfully on the drums. Helen played the piano and enjoyed herself with her dirty braid on top.

At the end of the song, Ina excitedly ran off stage and hugged Aurora, "Hey! Auro! It's been too long since you've been here, I thought you had a guy and forgot about your bestie! Right, sis?"

Helen also smiled as she ordered two glasses of wine and came over, "Yeah, it's been a while since you've been here."

"How's it going? My sister and I saw your launch video... When was the engagement with Sean Family, how come we didn't know about it?"

Aurora laughed bitterly, "It's a long story ..." and tilted her head and drank the wine in her hand.

"Don't want to marry? Or is there something difficult?" Helen asked.

Looking at the two sisters' worried expressions, she put her left and right hands on their shoulders respectively, "Don't worry! I just encountered a small doubt, it's not a big deal."

She saw Helen's ugly face, staring at herself with a surprised look, and patted her shoulder hard, "Really?!"

Helen asked with a serious expression, "Aurora, where have you been today?"

"Me?" Aurora found the question somewhat puzzling, "I went to church in Blackwood town yesterday and just got back today."

Ina looked like she had a sudden realization, "You're missing Flora!"

Her mood also instantly sank down, "In fact, you do not have to blame yourself too much, this year you have punished yourself enough, and it was not your fault. Saxon is a fucking beast with human face, he was so good at disguising himself. If he had not saved your life, you would not be so obsessed with him. Put it bluntly, it's all the damn suspension bridge effect!"

"Isn't that right, Sis?" Ina crossed over to Aurora, who was in the middle of the sofa, seeking her sister's approval.

"Hmm?" Helen was a little out of it and immediately came back to her senses when she heard the voice, "Well, you're right."

"The suspension bridge effect ...," Aurora repeated the word as she looked at the empty wine glass swirling around.

"What are you two thinking about?" Ina, seeing that no one was echoing her, ordered a glass of wine to refill Aurora's.

"Did you encounter anything strange at church yesterday?" Helen suddenly asked.

"Strange things?" She was a little confused, "The church has had four children go missing recently, but ... why are you suddenly asking that?"

"Ah ... I even casually ask, in that case, then you'd better go there less often these days, be careful of encountering danger." Helen reminded.

After that it was Ina who kept her company with drinks and conversation, she kept thinking about the suspension bridge effect in her mind, and then left after a few more drinks.

After the songs finished, Helen took her young sister to the sauna and bought two new clothes. Ina was so excited to enjoy the happiness. When she saw her sister frowning all the time, she finally couldn't help but ask, "What are you thinking about? So lost in thought, I noticed it at the bar."

"I was thinking," Helen lowered her voice, "that Aurora might have met a werewolf."

"Wolf ..." Helen covered Ina's mouth with one hand, Ina held the latter letters back stiffly.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes!"
