The store been running for ten days. Today is tuesday the day they will start working the house to be rented to Grey. The house design is very simple so they only hire five people to work on it. As Brian and Steve cant take part on working on it, as they have to focus on the store but they're still in charge of its process. The house has two rooms, one bathroom a living room, dining area and kitchen. It only occupied eighty square meters of the area.
"How is the exam?" Denzel ask to Brye and Vince as they sit at the couche. "It so tiring physically and mentally." Vince answer.
"Eh' this is just the first day of the exam yet your already that tired. "Denzel said rolling her eyes to Vince. "Well it is tiring for me." Vince said as he went to lay down at the couche. "Well it is really stressful to take exam. Just be sure to pass it. Just don't dissapoint your parents." Denzel said to Vince.
"Right zel, I offer Mike to work at the store. If its fine for you." Brye said. "Didn't he work at bakeshop, what happen?" Denzel ask Brye.
"Well he got laid off three days ago. He help me a lot. So I want to help him now. I don't want him to stop college as we are both graduating. He plan to stop his studies as he planned to focus on working. If he works at the store he can still study byvdoing the same shift with me. Aside from not stopping his studies and getting salary, there is also a place he can live. Isn't their is a room beside the storage room. You said before you plan to use it for an employee just in case." Brye said to Denzel.
"Okay hi is hired then. If you have others need or request just say so. Also you Vince. I'll do my best to fulfill it as long it is something that does not hurt you both." Denzel said as she smiled to both of them.
"Oh' I thought you gonna question Brye if he have any relationship to Mike. Like you did to me." Vince complain to Denzel.
"Eh' well I dont have to as I have never seen them being close together. Aside I have never seen Mike you know. You and Grey always sit next to each other so close which that is why my mind thinks that way towards the two of you." she said to Vince
"What about us closer than the others. Grey is the only friend I have. He had protected me a lot of time." Vince said.
"Protected you from what? Did someone hurt you?" Denzel suddenly ask after hearing Vince say protected. "Oh' it just before when we are still both at the basketball team." Vince said as he feel Denzel concern.
"Sure! what about now? Wait! Dont tell me you getting injured has something to do about it tell me who did it. I'll beat him." Denzel declare as she get a bit mad.
"It has already been setted Denzel, no need to bring it back. It happen already, the best thing is they paid for the treatment." Brye said this time.
"That!.. Ok! but starting from now on you guys better tell me if someone bully you. I may be a girl but I can still beat them." Denzel said. "Ok will do that then." Brye said as he ruffle Denzel hair.
"Now you know why Vince and I are so close we're a close teammates before. When I never know him as a son of Dad and Uncle close friend. Even before I know it he have been protecting me towards our team mates." Vince said.
"Sorry I don't know about it. I'll stop teasing both of you then, from today onward." said Denzel to Vince. "Apology accepted then my cousin." said Vince as he put his arm around Denzel shoulders and teases her by ruffling her hair by his other hand.
"By the way Brye, why does Mike need a place to live in?" Denze ask Brye. "As he get laid off from his work he will also leave the room the bakeshop let him use." Brye. "Wait you said he was laid of three days ago where does he stay since then?" she ask.
"Well his staying in an internet cafe. He sleeps there why renting a unit." said Brye. "So his in an internet cafe today. How can he sleep in there, he have exams. Why don't you call him now. He can live the room starting today. It is a good thing since there are already two beds in the room. There is still enough time before your shift. You two can go buy beddings the pillows and blanket as Mike will be using it. I'll send you a money now." she said to Brye.
"Okay I'll do that, thank you Denzel." said Brye as he get up and dial Mike.
Brye came back with Mike around five in the afternoon, he already inform them that he will be late. Once he and Mike get inside the house. Mike greeted the elders in the living room. They also greet him back.
"The key to the room was with Vince, you can get it to him." said Brian after the greetings.
"Okay Dad, will head back there then. By the way I bought these strawberries, Denzel favorites." said Brye as he put the bag with strawberries pack inside in the table.
He and Mike then went to the store through the store back door. They went to the counter and went to the door behind it, that will lead to the storage room and the room meant for an employee to live.
"Is this the room? It spacious just for two person to leave. There is even a space to be the dining area. Their are already furnitures and aircon. It even have its own toilet and bathroom. I don't think I can stay here for free Brye." said Mike after looking around the entire room.
"Of course you can stay here for free. This room is meant for an employee. The room is like the mini version of an apartment without a living room. This is Denzel idea." Brye said as he sit at the only couche in the room.
Mike then start putting his clothes to the closet and start putting the beddings, others things. After that Brye invite Mike to have dinner at his house. After that Brye train Mike on how to operate the cash registar and other works Mike will do in his duty.
