"Goro, what is this you bring me?" a man asked.
He was in complete darkness, sitting on something like a throne. He was looking down on his assistant because his throne was placed quite high.
"I'm sorry I couldn't retrieve the orb sire. I tri--" Goro began but he was immediately cut short by an immense mental pressure that descended on him, making him unable to breathe. His boss was now very angry.
"How many times do I have to tell you...?" the mental energy was released, and the atmosphere became eerily silent. "Call me Anthony"
He once more analyzed what was before him.
Goro, his assistant, a humanoid Legendary tier beast. A Gorilla with snow white fur, and an affinity with the ice element. Not many people knew this, but humanoid beasts were very strong. Stronger than their colleagues of the same tier. In fact, a humanoid beast could easily take on a beast from the following tier.
Goro was holding a very attractive young woman. Chocolate in complexion, and wearing a lab coat.
' a doctor in the facility? ' Anthony thought.
"Why Goro?" Anthony finally asked.
"She had the orb in her possession" was his reply.
Anthony massaged his temples in frustration. Goro was intelligent, but his intelligence was not on the level of an average human. Also, for some reason, he couldn't peer into Goro's mind without tearing it apart.
"Why don't you have the orb if she had it?"
"I was attacked by a human"
' hm? I thought only Scientists without abilities and new mutants were present. The guards weren't even that strong.... '
"Who was he?"
"I don't know. I couldn't take note of his appearance. Also, Blake and Nicu were stronger than we estimated. So I had to do things in a rush. I'm sorry" He bowed deeply.
Anthony just sighed, venting out his frustration.
"Who was he?" He asked the female at Goro's feet.
She just peered into the darkness.
"Now....." his eyes began to glow an ominous blue hue. :.....don't make me find the answeres by myself"
Doctor Iris gasped.
"A telepath...!"
"No. Much worse!" Anthony replied, standing up from his throne and slowly emerging from the darkness.
Her eyes widened.
"A puppeteer" she sneered.
Puppeteers were telepaths who had reached another level. Ordinary telepaths could only read minds. Some stronger ones could send telepathic messages. It was even rare to see some strong ones who could form mind links. Puppeteers were the strongest. They could control people, beasts and magical beasts with their mind.
Anthony grinned.
"Now...you want me to pry into your mind. Milady?"
He completely emerged from the darkness.
Doctor Iris gasped.
' Tony? No! He's toying with my mind....that's not Tony! It's an illussion!! '
The man before her looked exactly like Tony. The Tony she had been in charge of in MHF. Her Tony. But looking closely, she noticed a significant difference. This man looked older and had a thin beard ad a funny looking mustache.
' huh? He's not Tony? '
"Suit yourself"
He closed his eyes and went into her mind. Memories that weren't his own rushed through his mind as if on fast-forward.
' interesting.....the Sunborns.....agent 10...Mutant Holding Facility.....Doctor Iris.... '
"Noo...." Doctor Iris whispered. There was a lot of things she didn't want this man to know. But luckily for her, she knew a technique that base the bane of telepaths.
' twinkle twinkle little star. How I wonder what you are, up above the sky so high, like a diamond in the sky..... '
' huh?! '
Anthony who was enjoying the public and private scenes of Doctor Iris's life was suddenly lost in the vast universe. What was more frustrating was that he was counting all the millions of stars one by on.
Doctor Iris had succesfully blocked him out of her mind!
He withdrew from her mind.
"Where's Zore?"
"The boy who attacked me had the orb. So I asked her to intercept it" Goro replied.
"Forget it. That's just one orb. I now know the locations of three orbs" he was grinning from ear to ear like a child. He closed his eyes and sent a teleathic message.

Goro's eyes widened.
"Your'e going to attack the Sunborns?!"
"Nah....I mean not immediatly. I'll pick something and someone on the way. Then we attack!" he burst out laughing.
Gor just shook his head as he obeyed his master's orders.

"Nicu! If we don't work together, we'll never make it out alive!" Blake said looking at the kid in front of him. Blake was in a very bad situatin right now.
David was found, knocked out cold in the destroyed restroom. It was already a miracle that he wasn't crushed by the debris. Rose was out of energy, Volks didn't have anything to throw. And they were surrounded by an army of Iron wolves.
He didn't make much friends in MHF but hese guys were his best friends. David's ability was to manipulate his size. He could grow to the size of a goliath or the size of an ant. His looks were not bad. With his baby face and shimmering black hair, girls without high standards would find it easy to like him. His only flaw was that he was a pervert that like girls. His only reason being that he could satisfy any girl because he could grow any part of his body to any desirable length. ANY PART. Rose could manipulate fire. She was quite strong, only that she was very shy. But without any doubt, with her pretty curves and red hair, she was a beautiful girl. Volks could increase the speed of anything he touched. His specialty was throwing knives. He could throw them at impossible speeds, about 5 times faster than the speed of sound. But with his bald hair, jagged teeth and piercings, he was quite scary, especially when he smiled.
"Hm....but I don't have where to go, brother Blake" the kid said, looking up at Blake. He wore an oversize robe, and he had white hair that were bob cut and big cute eyes.
' damn.....he's asking to come with us...ah!! screw it. I could use someone of his strength on my side '
"I know the location of a teleporter. Just help me..."
"Okay" Nicu said.
To Blake, it was frustrating how someone so young would be so strong, In the Vampire society, they were taught that strength came with age. But now, he discovered that it was all a lie. This boy was barely a teenager, and Blake knew that even he would find a ahrd time dealing with him. Nicu. He came from a tribe of Monks.
"Brother Blake. What do you think wolves fear the most?"
' ofcourse. His Shikigami. It drains the energy of its owner, but it can transform into any beast it has seen. '
"Uhh....Lions?"
"I see. Sweetie!" Nicu called out.
A small worm dropped out of his robe.
"UH...What is that?" Rose asked, a little confused.
"It's my Shikigami!" Nicu said, puffing out his chest.
"A Shikigami?" Volks asked.
"A Shikigami is a tamed beast that has formed a soul pact with someone" Blake was embarrased by their ignornace.
"oh..."
"Well I don't know what that puny little thing is gonna do but in case you guys have forgotten, we're surrounded by an army of iron wolves!!" Their current predicament and him carrying an unconscious David was ruining his bad boy demeanor.
"My mom always said wolves travel in packs" Nicu proclaimed. "Sweetie, BULLION!"
Right before their eyes, the tiny and insignificant worm transformed to a giant lion the size of an elephant, with a spiky tail and two horns.
"Oh, brother Blake! You and Sweetie thin the herd while I attack the main force" Nicu said.
Blake nodded.
' beggars can't be choosers '
Sweetie and Blake charged forward, towards the army, or pack of wolves. But instead of running, Nicu began to skip towards the pack while singing:
"Mary had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb...."
"What's his ability?" Volks asked.
"I think he can...."
Nicu suddenly became hundred times his normal size.
"Oh! It's similar to David's ability" Volks commented, nonchalantly.
"Hm...I thought it was lightning" Rose said.
Nicu was stomping around, and giggling like a kid. He was indeed a kid though. Then he stretched his arms and a burning hot stream of fire spewed out.
"Oh...he has your ability too? That's two abilities!" Volks commented.
Rose just narrowed her eyes. Having two abilities were nothing new, but it was very rare, and both abilities had to be similar, like water and ice or fire and lava. But this kid had shown the abilities of those present. Not only that, but he was very good at using it. As his size increased, his clothes did too. According to David it was not easy to do this. Was it all a coincedence?
Then Nicu kicked up a big boulder. When it was at his eye level, he just tapped it with a finger and....
BOOM!!
It crashed into the ground like a falling asteroid, pulverizing hundred of the wolves. The poor wolves had long ago given up any hope and were desperately trying to run away, but Blake and Sweetie were merciless.
Volks's eyes bulged out.
"Is that? Is that my ability....?!"

Those were Tony's thoughts as the red was fast approaching him.
' I can't evade it! '
H suddenly smirked.
' or ca I? '
"Since I have super strength its only logical I can..."
He opened his arms wide and clapped, with full force. The clap was supersonic. It broke the sound barrier and the resulting shock wave slammed into the breath attack, and sent it back towards the beast.
"What just happened?!"Drake screamed.
"It appears he has super strength" Felix said, although he wasn't sure.
"That's impossible! Didn't you see his speed? Or was it teleportation?" Iris was just as confused.
"He's an undead" Natasha proclaimed.
"Oh...?" Felix replied. "I thought the were very rare?"
"He's what one would call a 'new born' according to undead terms because apparently, he just 'died'. Although I'm not sure what kind of undead he is" Natasha explained.
Drake and Iris glanced at each other, then back at Natasha.
"What's an undead?" they both asked.
It was just as Natasha thought. The existence of undeads were still secret.
"Undeads are entities that lacks the normal human bodily functions. Because they are 'dead', they need the life essence of humans to live. The most common undead are Vampires. They gain their own life essence from human blood. Then the ghouls who get their own life essence from human flesh. Then the liches who directly drain life force" Felix explained.
Drake and Iris slowly turned to Natasha.
"Undead are very strong and feed on humans" she answered their silent question.
The breath attack slammed directly into the bat. More blood oozed out of its wounds and it spat out even more blood. This was the second time she was taking her own attack head on. She was already approaching her limit. She took two steps back and eyed the now shirtless human before her. She hadn't gone all out, but still, no child should be able to face her like this. His muscles were not bulging, but they were beautifully toned. She wanted to spit out another breath attack when she received another directive.

Without hesitation, with just one leap, she was already a speck in the night sky. The last thing she heard before flying out of earshot was the human boy saying:
"You're lucky I can't fly you hoe!"
"HMPH! Cocky human"
