Because of a mysterious event in the past none seem to remember, most people are born with the special ability to manipulate the fae energy that encompasses the world to boost themselves.
But those are the most basic of fae users. For example a normal user of the fae energy would only be able to boost their physical attributes at a level way beyond normal human capability, allowing those empowered to lift tons and run at speed faster than old modeled fighter jets of the nuclear weapons age. But a special fae user known as fae-kin are born with a extra mark on their soul giving them the ability to use the fae energy to generate supernatural phenomenons, such as but not limited to, create fire, create water, manipulate wind, decay solid object, turn invisible and much more.
In society fae-kin are referred to as the true supernatural beings only 20% of fae users are born with the soul mark making them a fae kin. Also the power used by fae-kin are dependant on their marks. While one fae-kin mark can be use to generate and attack with fire. That same mark cannot be used to generate wind.
At the early stages of the appearance of fae users. Chaos ensued, history books depicts that, peaceful day was as rear as natural calamities appearing times before.
Historian believed given such power so suddenly, Fae-users felt a sense of godliness they couldn't even think of having before. This sudden surge caused their more darker thoughts to come to life in their actions as most fae-users and fae kin plunge Earth into hell that almost destroyed it.
Thankfully not all hearts contain darkness, When the hearts of the powerless lost all hope. A New group arised their actions made their goals clear as day to the fae users who misused their power and the victims of said power.
GFE or the Global Fae Enforcement, started with a group of 10 strong fae user, now became the global government of current earth. They've kept peace globally for thousand of years. Sadly peace can't be held forever.
