Nicolai glared at that man. He was a white-haired tall and burly wolf. He looked about forty or fifty years old and had a haughty look in his eyes and glanced at him. "Killian, who is this man. Looks like he needs to get his nose checked. His old age might be the cause of his defects. But I hope the pack doctor can heal him,"
Killian snorted. "y-yes I'll let the pack doctor check on him Luna," he said with a subtle smirk.
"Someone get Kiran some salad,"
The wolves who were serving immediately brought a small bowl of fresh vegetable salad.
At first Kiran looked at it doubtfully.
"It's very tasty. Have you tried it? This is called lettuce. This is carrot and this is bell pepper. They taste really good," he whispered to him.
Kiran hesitantly took a leaf out and chewed on it. "it tastes like grass... crunchy grass." He said with his eyes shimmering.
"yes it does taste like that. Doesn't it. It's very crunchy and tasty."
Kiran held out a huge lettuce leaf. "It's tasty,"
Nicolai took it from him and ate it. The leaf was very fresh and had a subtle sweet taste to it. "it's very good,"
"This too," he excitedly handed him a carrot.
Nicolai silently ate everything he gave him.
"ahem...' someone cleared their throat.
It was an old man next to Killian. He looked about fifty years old slightly slim and tall. "Sorry if I ask this Luna but are you a half-vampire,"
"yes I am. I'm a half-vampire. I can eat human food as well as blood." Nico said dully.
"I see. I'm very sorry for the embarrassment. We should have prepared well for this lunch. I profusely apologize if we have offended you,"
Nicolai took another look at this man. He was old but he had the same look as Killian. 'They must be related. I like this man. He does not have that false pretense or that haughty attitude.'
"It's okay. I hope this won't happen again. Kiran is human the rest are vampires. They can't ingest human food and only blood would be their sustenance. Please make a note of it," Nico said wiping his mouth.
Subtly he glanced to his side. Dylan was simply eating a piece of steak.
All through the lunch, this man did not even glance his way once!
'Infuriating! Annoying bastard! Asshole!.. aghhH!! Just... just hate him! hate him so much,' he stood up calmly. "I'll take my leave now. Killian, please bring me the documents regarding the pack wars in the east and call a meeting with the two troubled alphas."
"yes, Luna..." Killian glanced at Dylan after Nico left the room. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing..." he glanced back at the empty doorway with a small pout. "Nothing at all..."
For the next few days Nicolai watched as Dylan ignored him. It infuriated him. his presence near I'm was infuriating his absence was also infuriating.
He was not sure what he was feeling at this moment. He was not even sure if these feelings he had were his own.
'I have to get to the bottom of this mess..'
