The cannons mounted on their ship mainly uses the bones of departed beings, either from humans or animals. And some unscrupulous beings use the core of humans and animals as shell.

From afar, there was silhouette covered neither legs nor hands, staying afloat on the wooden parts of ship, lying and shouting at top of lungs.

Ju Meng cried with tears unable to control himself, he passed out.
The crew looked at Jia Liang, and horrified by his method. Some of them couldn't hold themselves and threw out on the sea, relieving themselves via mouth.
Jia Liang poured cold water on Ju Meng, then slapped him, fed him a pill, making Ju Meng awake.
Ju Meng sees that, his arms legs, toes, tongue, ears are grown back again, if he didn't see the leftovers of the chunks of flesh lying there, he wouldn't have believed it.

Rogue comes and asks, "Captain, you gonna leave him like that-?"
